The Shadow Dies in the Light
The cure to Darkness is Light. An easy remedy. You walk into a dark room, you turn on a light and poof – like magic, the darkness is gone. Shadows however persist in the places where the light cannot penetrate.
Light is Fast Moving Photons – Photons move faster than the speed of light, it takes our brain .3 seconds to register the passage of light – meaning the time it takes for the light bulb to turn on and the darkness to dissipate from the room. That means there is a disparity between the movement of light and the speed our brain can measure it. Or, the brain is so fast that it can nearly register the movement of light. But the truth is, for the brain to register the light there is a process, a procedure that happens. The light has to be registered by our retinas, the refractions hit the back of our eyes. The optical nerves translates the stimuli into an electrical signal that is picked up by a receptor in the brain, being the occipital lobe and then the brain reconstructs the image into something we can interact with. All in .3 seconds.
But, societally, we constitute Darkness as also meaning our Darker Nature. In the Novels, TV show and Comic Books titled ‘Dexter’ the titular character called his Dark Nature his ‘Dark Passenger.’ It was the urge that drives him to commit the violence he committed. If ‘Goodness’ represented the Light and ‘Evil’ represented the Darkness then we live in a Binary World were our choices drive us towards one aspect or the other. The gray areas remain in those places were we commit evil acts in the name of Justice, Peace and Equality. In the name of the Flag, we go to war and kill innocent people, destroy infrastructure, displace survivors, spread famine, disease, pollution and even impact the climate and environment. We but have to look at DUs that were used by the American Military in the Iraqi War called ‘Desert Storm.’ Regardless of the virtues inherent with the Act of Aggression, whether legitimate or otherwise, the idea is to condone the Act in the name of Peace. The aftermath was anything but – Submission isn’t Peace and PTSD also isn’t Peace. The psyches that were fracture by that one Act of Aggression – foreign and domestic, has brought no one Peace.
The Fracture is the Trauma. The Trauma is the division that is caused in the Mental Framework that warps our Reality. The individual has to reconsiliate the fracture in their mind and overcome the refractions. The mind is put into pieces and we must use our Will and Personal Power to reconstitute our psyche. At the core of all things is ‘Want.’
When the desire of ‘Want’ is removed, accomplished through the process of Domestication – we become dependent; dependent on a caretaker, on an institution, on the State… Someone outside of the self has to take care of us, because we have no initiative, drive or desire of our own to motivate us into doing. The brain can become lazy – it atrophies without use. Neural Clusters become elastic and the neural impulses move slower. In effect, a brain fog. We can also describe it as a trance. The mind is put into a trance through trauma – be it physical trauma, induced trauma and/or mental trauma. Age is another trauma, when the DNA isn’t able to keep up with the pace of decay and repair the failing tissue.
Want is a spark – it sets alight a flame of passion or desire. When the body wants – it becomes engaged. Want for Food – we eat and often gluttonously. When it desires touch, it becomes engaged – the nerves becomes stimulated and it creates impulses in the body, typically around erogenous zones. When the body desires action, the heart starts to pump more Adrenalin to the muscles producing stimuli in the muscles, connective tissues, venous structure and nerves. Want can also produce addiction; an addiction to a particular stimuli. Even addicts are greatly motivated to accumulate the substance of their addiction – often driving them to do what is easy, yet dangerous to acquire that substance.
So, when the motivation is for Knowledge and Understanding, for Peace and Unity, for Upliftment and Empowerment, and this becomes the addiction – the motivating drive that propels a person to strive for, seek out, engage in – even at a cost to themselves… What is the benefit? After all, what assurances do we have that the Knowledge, Understanding, Peace, Unity, Upliftment and/or Empowerment is truly that expression? We are limited by our understanding. A thing is only as it is observed. We observe a thing, calculate its patterns of behavior and then we ascribe that or those patterns of behavior as being its nature. Others then learn about this or these descriptions and use them as their setpoint, which propagates the description into the social zeitgeist. In effect, the first person to ascribe a description to a thing ‘owns’ that thing and shapes how the world perceives it. Innovation is the countervailing description that subverts its original meaning. A new value is then ascribed to that countervailing description.
The fire is consuming. For the genius Daedalus not to understand that the sun would melt the wax he used to glue his feathers together was a grave oversight and yet he felt confident enough in his equations to allow his only son to dawn the wings and take flight. Hubris is the prevailing narrative arc here. In our ignorance and the arrogance of our ignorance, we rush headlong into unfamiliar waters. We’ve accepted the descriptions given to us that tell us what the unfamiliar waters are like and we use these lies and misinformation to shape our ideas. And like fanatical addicts, we charge after the unknown and put up as collateral our name, our fortune, our life and limbs so that the framers who gave us our descriptions can use us in their own social, philosophical and scientific experiments, so that new descriptions can be defined and owned.
Knowledge, Understanding, Peace, Unity, Upliftment and Empowerment are merely different descriptions that are used to define a different framework of understanding, with the end belief that the things they describe are the measurement of their fulfillment. We are accepting blindly the descriptions. It is our Faith that tells us that we aren’t wrong, when in fact, it is our Personal Power that governs us and protects us – and makes us vulnerable at the same time. The Higher Good is an Illusion – other than making billions of devotees of his philosophy, the prophet Jesus Christ through the Roman Catholic Church has produced no equal. Does that, therefore, mean that his vision and understanding was a falsehood? Well, billions of people have gambled on that thing and paid the ultimate price. The answer therefore isn’t no. If you believe that Communism has failed only because it hasn’t been applied correctly, then so the same must be true for Christianity… Or any other Religion for that matter. Because we fail to find in any part of our world, since the time of the inception of their philosophy any demonstration of the successful application of their philosophies. Ergo, what they believed in was a falsehood. False logic will guide and dictate the actions of those being manipulated by it. For the one who owns the descriptions directs the course of action and behavior of those who believe in their description. The trapping here is the lack of discernment.
We cannot find Knowledge, Understanding, Peace, Unity, Upliftement and Empowerment of a people. We can only find it for the individual. The self is the subject here. Oneness is the sense one has with their Higher, Deeper Nature. When we understand that our actions are governed by our Understanding and the impulses of our Wants… We can seize control of our impulses and wants and use our energies to pursue deeper levels of Understanding. The new descriptions don’t matter to other people, it changes nothing in their perceptions of their reality. That framework is perspectival and unique. The individual is a singular expression that has to live on their own Understanding, Knowing and Empowerment – they are governed by their own Personal Power. A culture is the collection of a people who share a rough estimation of the same descriptions – the common good and the social contract is based on a fundamental agreement between all people. Break the social contract and we break the fabric that holds together the community. Without Personal Power, the individual will wither and wilt in the lack of understanding on how to adapt and overcome the current expression. Knowledge, Understanding, Peace, Unity, Uplfitment and Empowerment are therefore the tools in the arsenal of the individual that builds up their Personal Power. Having a larger view of a thing gives us greater power over that thing, because we are conscientious when we decide to act in a certain way. We can see over the choppy waves to the darker waters that stir beyond. The Unknown is a little less Unknowable, because it is with our Personal Power that we Polish our Spirit and the Spirit is an expression of Divine Light. The Divine being something that is beyond our ability to See and Understand without deeper and greater observation.
Through Polishing the Spirit, we awaken the Light of Understanding, of Knowledge, of Knowing and light up the dark paths before us and reveal out of darkness the pitfalls that threaten to take away our Freedom, our Liberties, our Rights and our Choice. The Upliftment of the Human Spirit is the act of awakening in ourselves and each other the deeper understanding of the trappings that await us. All trappings lead to death – some deaths are less noble than others. We want the shadows to die in the light… But we also want to be the light. Those great prophets that came before us, and failed, only failed because someone else took control of their narrative and descriptions and lead people into a Dark Age of Ignorance, and like the Sheppard or Farmer, tended to our understanding like cattle. The Light reveals what are resources – raw stock materials we can refine and purify for our own use… And when we enter into the World of Understanding with the term ‘Human Resource,’ we then learn the Agenda. People are Resources… But for what?
