just dropping in to ooze my happiness on this page a bit.

so remember how we were pitching two projects?   welp, we landed one and we are in "the finals" for the other.   woop woop!   i am very pleased with our batting average so far this year.  we have a call with our potential client next week to see if we make the final cut.   it’s all very exciting in the world of me and us.

other excitment bubbles: so i’m heading to chicago the week of 1/30 for that work project, right?   i’m extending my chicago stay over the weekend and mi familia is going to fly out from minneapolis to hang out with me for a few days.   my mom, stepdad, sister and nieces.   potentially, aaron will also fly out but this remains to be seen.   but yay!   fun in chicago with my fam!    

we also had a contractor come out yesterday to give us some estimates on remodeling our loft a bit.   we are eagerly awaiting the bid so we can get cranking on some muchly needed and overdue rennovations.   i’m starting to get into a major nesting mode, not surprisingly.  and one day i declared that THIS MUST GET DONE AND IT MUST GET DONE PRONTO.    however, i said it in an uncharacteristically bitchy way to aaron and his mom, and within one day, we had blueprints and calls were being made and action was being taken.    OH!  so BITCHY gets things done around this place.   NOTED!

but srsly, aaron’s mom is an interior designer and aaron is just "into" that kind of stuff and i am 100% not into any part of the process except the part where EVERYTHING IS FINISHED and beautiful.. so it works out well.

or so i hope.   

what else?    oh – we are doing an alcohol-free january and so far we have both dropped some unsavory holiday pounds and things are fitting better and life is feeling clearer.   oh, the holiday fog.    so happy to have emerged on the other side of it with clarity and clarity.  om.

i’m sure there’s other tidbits i wanted to unload, so maybe more later.
