I hope so far this year is going swimmingly for everyone.

I just found out yesterday that we booked our first job of the year!   We will be doing in-home interviews and shopalongs for a popular environmentally-friendly cleaning company.    First up is almost a week in SF, then we will be hitting Chi-town the last week in January.   Very exciting.    We are also pitching a very cool online radio company and a non-profit company.   Our odds on the online radio project are pretty good, but the non-profit has several companies bidding for the project, so it’s a bit of a long-shot.    Fingers crossed!

In other news… the holidays were just lovely.   Super low-key and relaxing since we stayed here and just celebrated with the immediate in-laws.    My favorite gifts included classic aviator Ray Bans (Aaron) , skinny jeans and sexy boots (MIL) ,a crockpot!  (my brother & sister-in-law) and some cute clothes and a necklace from my momma.

Aaron got the new iPhone 4S from me + his mom — and I think I want one, but I’m still pretending to be an Apple-avoider even though I’m obssessed with my iPad and I’m typing this from my MacBook Pro.   Heh.  I need to switch from Verizon to AT&T because I basically live in a Verizon black hole, and I need to have service since I work from home so much.   But I don’t wannnnnaaaaa.    waa.

We’re also obssessed with our crockpot these days… it’s pretty awesome and I knew I wanted one, but I didn’t realize how awesome life could be with one.   It’s awesome.  Is it sad or awesome that we get super excited about crockpot recipes???

Uhhh yess.   This is the time of the year for moviesmoviesmovies as we frantically try to see everything that has been nominated for Golden Globes and/or SAG awards in anticipation of what we think will be nominated for Oscars.

Am weirdly hoping you’re working with Method Home – I did a consulting project for them when I was in grad school and they were just starting out and get weirdly happy whenever I see their stuff on shelves. I feel like I barely see any movies but rooting for Senna, The Artist, and The Skin I Live In – those were my faves this year. Almost every parisian I met asked how I liked midnight in Paris – and I STILL haven’t seen it! It was swriously like british people with The Wire. Hahahahaha Happy New Year!

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo was EPIC. *
