Fan girly moments

Sometimes I obsess!  I admit it. something or someone catches my eye and I zone in on it and make it part of my life.  There have only been a few real fan obsessions, Gerry being the main one (Gerard Butler, for those who don’t know already) and my latest Jeremy Renner.  I like to support their work so will generally try and buy all their films. It was easy for Gerry as I was a fan before he really hit the big time and so I bought things as they happened. For Jeremy though it’s harder. A lot of his stuff is only available on region 2 dvd, and we don’t have a multi region player. But I will find a way!

I have the same kinda reaction to some shows too. My latest discovery is Beauty and the Beast. Now I watched and loved the tv series of the 80’s and I admit when I discovered they had re made it – I really didn’t want to like it. Anyway, having come into the series on episode 7, and have now watched 3 – I’m hooked. Of course the US are a few weeks ahead of us in the UK. But there is a huge following of the show hoping that there is a season 2. Through Twitter I have become a ‘Beastie’ hehe. The fans are hashtagging BATB to get it trending while the show is playing, to show support for the show in the hope that CW  say yes to another season. Anyway the twitter following is amazing and everyone is really friendly 🙂  When I mentioned that I hadn’t seen the episodes up to 7, one of the beasties sent me her copies of the show, so I could catch up – how lovely was that? Plus she has the episodes from the states so I actually have episodes that haven’t been aired here yet – ok I’m just gonna go *squee*

Ok enough with the fan girl me, this is my hobby. I don’t get out much and a girl has to have a hobby 😉

So It is my week to have sat and sun evening off. One of the things that hubby and sons complained about with my work was that I never got evenings off and so we could never sit down as a family and watch a film. So tonight – they are watching some god awful crap that they actually know I really dislike. That is why I’m on here right now.  Quite frankly I’m going to finish on here and go to bed.

Hope everyone has a great weekend

Love and blessings xxx

I don’t remember an 80’s version, let alone knew about the modern one until I saw it on fb! I think it’s a good hobby to have 🙂 x

I love having obsessions, they are like hobbies. I was into Twilight way to much a few years ago…but that was then…I am good now. Gerard is a hottie for sure! Happy St. Patty’s Day!!!

Oh, I totally get obsessed with television shows, and have been like this all my life. Currently I’m obsessed with The Mighty Boosh, which we’d never even seen till recently, and Luxury Comedy. And I’m full of woe because we’ve seen all the Boosh and there won’t be another Luxury Comedy for ages. OH and Doctor Who, and who knows when we’ll get the new season??!!

THIS is really bizarre, though — Gerard Butler actually came through my small town not long ago. When he stopped at a convenience store, he saw the sign for a local dentist, Jerry Butler, and went over and introduced himself. Then he talked about the visit on Ellen, complete with a picture of himself and our Jerry Butler. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4AwSs-2Va0 Even funnier, I used towork in a pizza place here way back in the 80s, and Jerry Butler would come in all the time and he was VERY VERY creepy and weird. His wife was perfectly normal and great but he was extremely strange. He’s been in politics too. So we’ve always joked about Jerry Butler. And there he is, his picture on Ellen with Gerard Butler!!
