Hubby has taken my daughter to her swimming lesson – so I find myself with a few spare minutes.

Think I am just about there with all the washing an ironing, so this evening will be major packing activity.  Only hoping the lads don’t find things ‘lurking’ in their rooms that they decide they need washing and packing. Have dug out a couple of pairs of my crop trousers, just in case it’s warm weather there. Never do shorts – haven’t done for years, hate my legs so the less I can get away with showing the better lol.  Tomorrow will be concentrating on last minute packing and a general clean and tidy up of the house. It’s going to be a bit of a rush to get to the tunnel, especially having to drive in rush hour traffic, but at least we are going under rather than over the channel!  I’m going to prepare a dinner like picnic and we will probably eat that once on the train. By the time we arrive in Calais I think we will all just want to sleep. It will be an early start on the saturday morning – and a 7-8 hour drive down to the house. Depending on stops. Our friends girls are a bit older so they usually only do 1 loo stop, but I think we may have to stop a couple of times with my daughter only being 4!  Thank god for the portable dvd player. Think we are going to have to take a lot of dvd’s lol. 

I treated myself to Dan Brown’s new book Inferno – to read while away.  It’s been a sort of torture not starting it, I have a passion for books, and nothing better than opening up a new hardback 🙂  But have managed to withhold even opening it up, well as of this evening anyway!

I have my regular work call tonight at 9pm, the lady has been moaning all week about me going on holiday, I mean it’s nice to think you will be missed, but there are ways of stating that without making me feel guilty for having a week away with my family!  I am really going to try and switch off my ‘work head’ while I’m away. It’s actually kinda tough.

Well, better get on. The reason hubby has taken my daughter swimming is only because if I take her we have dinner late, so he decided he would go to the swimming lessons, I can then stay home and have dinner ready for when they come back. Kinda makes sense though as I also have to bath her before going to bed, which makes it all very late if we have dinner late.
