Is This Over the Top?
Dear Greed-ridden Co-ordinator,
Please accept this letter as notice of my intention to cease working at ‘town’ Alternative Education as a maths teacher.
My reasons for this are personal and financial and I am truly sorry to be leaving you. I’ve had some wonderful times working on your scheme and have had some memorable experiences.
I shall, of course, continue working up until 23rd October, which is the last working day before the autumn half term – although I can finish earlier than that date if you wish me to.
Once again, I do regret having to leave you and ask for your understanding.
Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
RoofOnFire
Sounds fine to me!!

Well, if it was me, I’d leave off the “greed-ridden Coordinator”, but hey, revenge is sweet. LOL! The letter is fine…makes the point, yet still gives a compliment and conveys flexibility.

No, it’s not. If I were writing it though, I wouldn’t even give reasons. My resignation letters are short and to the point. I’m leaving. It’s been great working with you. I’ve learned a lot (blah blah flatter flatter) and I’m leaving on [date]. End. They don’t deserve explanations and any that you give will only raise questions and speculation in their minds. Give them nothing. That’s myadvice, unsolicited though it is.

hehehe, well, if we weren’t getting the sarcasm bit, then it would sound like a perfectly sweet letter from someone forced to make a better financial choice. Fine I’d say. 🙂 Enjoy.

Do it, do it, do it!!!!

Fine, and I think you should sign it Roof on Fire. 🙂

I particularly like the “Once again, I do regret having to leave you and ask for your understanding.” *grin* RYN: Would you like me to send you a tonne or two of my oxalis? Such beautiful little yellow flowers they have.
