I’ll probably be asleep when it comes in

It’s the last day of the year right now.  For me, it’s not been a particularly eventful year. It’s not been a particularly anything year, really!  So at the end of this year, I shall just wave 2008 goodbye and let in 2009 with the condition that it’s a bit more memorable.  Today, the last day of the year, I’ve spent trying to do an assignment for the course I’m doing.  It’s all about teaching post-16 citizenship and is as dull as it sounds.  I’ve managed about 500 words so far, which is pitiful!  So today is a microcosm of the whole year – ok, but nothing much achieved.

Anyway, the above might have sounded depressing, but it wasn’t intended to be.  It’s more hopeful that next year will be fun and productive (my new job might help).  And with that, I shall wish you everything that you wish for yourself during 2009.

It doesn’t make for a depressing read for me. I think that all this expectations around a date is odd. Other than set new goals, it is just another day.

Happy New Year Lee Mee xXx

December 31, 2008

I’m pleased this year was better than last and I’m looking forward to more of the same in 2009. Here’s to that!

It’s New Year’s morning down here, so – Happy New Year! I hope your year holds just as few negative events as last, but more positive ones, that your new job brings satisfying challenges. And joy. And laughter. And that there’s plenty of that in your personal life, too.

RYN: Yeah, I can scoot across to Covent Garden in my lunch hour, or we can meet up at the Royal Festival Hall Canteen…lots of options. I just hope I can handle the wheely thing without falling off and breaking something!
