Bye Bye Thursday
I can’t wait for Thursday! I’m going to tell my home town AltEd greed-ridden co-ordinator that it is with deep regret that I shall be withdrawing my services as their maths tutor.
I’ll offer to stay until half term if they can’t get anyone immediately… but not a second longer.
I got the job/contract that I tendered for! It’s for one x 2 hour session a week for 20 weeks at a disgusting rate plus an hour’s preparation per week at the same disgusting rate, plus all travel expenses – more than enough to financially compensate for getting out of the one day a week I hate.
My line manager in my other job handed in her notice, so I think I’ll go for that one too while I’m on a roll. This is a full time one though, so will involve quite a bit of contract juggling.
Reassure me… change is good!
Congrats on the job stuff – you really are on a roll. Good luck with the other one too – and yes, change is VERY good! I can definitely vouch for that. It’s also painful when you’re in the transition stages, but ultimately, if it’s what you want, then it’s worth it.
