How awful. I am sorry for your daughter’s loss, and for the fact that you won’t get to see her as you thought.

Your daughter must be feeling quite shell-shocked. I’m glad, for your son’s sake (and yours) that she’s changed her mind about returning to the UK. Is there any chance she’ll continue with her studies, do you think?

It will probably be on our news if I get a change to see the local news. Even though it is awful for your daughter, it is probably a blessing for you to avoid chaos.

Reading the story, it’s shocking that somebody so young and who did so much for others should be felled so suddenly by something so random. Maybe she’ll changer her mind later when she’s got over the shock of this.

How sad. I’m sorry to hear that your daughter has decided to stay in Calgary. What has she been doing there?

Perhaps this can be looked at as a good thing…from the point of view of what her arrival might have done to your son’s life and your life.
