Still here!

Yet again another age has passed before I’ve posted! Where does the time go to? Well, right now it’s going to work! They are really getting their pound of flesh out of me before I walk out the doors for the last time (in 16 days! Not that I’m counting!!).
In these last 2 rotas I’ve had 3 episodes of 7-days of shifts. It gets really tiring doing that much straight, especially as it is sometimes Late shift, followed by Early shift, not good.
Chez Harley is still bumbling along as normal. Christmas deco’s are going up. We attempted to put the tree up, but the kittens…well, Bonnie…decided it was a new toy, and the thing was on the floor more than upright, so we decided not to bother this year. The other deco’s are proving to be pleasant distractions for them too. I’ll pinch some of Dawn’s pics of Facebook and put them here for you to see. They are usually active when I’m at work so I never get any decent ones.
Lee and I went to the big bike show in Birmingham last week and had a good time. There were plenty of spaces empty for exhibitors , which I think reflects a sign of the times with the financial crises all over the world.
I found the Triumph stand , where my ex-RAF mate was working, and had a good natter. I sat on the Rocket III Roadster, Sprint ST, and Tiger to see which I liked for my next bike. I still love the Trophy I have, but it won’t last forever sadly, so I will need to replace it at some stage. Pete, my mate, rides a Tiger and loves them. They’re Ok but more like a big trail type bike.  I’ve always liked the look of the Rocket III’s but when I tested one a few weeks ago I  didn’t feel comfortable on it, even though it went really well, and the new one is not a lot different.  Then I tried the Sprint which is classed as a “Sports Tourer”. I’d always thought it looked a little bit too race orientated for my liking, but when I sat on it I felt really comfortable. I wasn’t bent too far forward and the footrests weren’t too far back, so it looks like I’ll be going for that one unless Triumph do another Trophy in the meantime.
Lee’s doing well with his driving lessons. Unfortunately he failed his theory test last week so has to take it again on Dec 9th. He needs to pass this before he can apply for his actual driving practical.
Vicki is still with the knobhead of a partner and he seems to be behaving himself at the moment…..more’s the pity!
Paula is doing Ok with the 3rd pregnancy and the other 2 boys are doing great as well. We have to watch what we say these days because Jayden (2) is copying everything we say, a regular parrot . LOL
And that’s really all there is to say. Life goes on, time is approaching for the new job which I actually start on Jan 6th.
That gives me a nice long break over the Festive season. I will try and update more often…oh yeah, and I’ll post those pussy pics……er….kitten pics in the near future!!!!
Take care all
