Close the door on leaving 2009!

Well, that’s over for another year.
Not a bad one I guess. A little different this year as eldest and g/kids stayed at theirs during the day and we went over there for tea. Mother came to us for dinner, then middle daughter (with Hiro) visited for a while before we all set out for Paula’s , inc Ki’s ( middle one) partner…who no-one really likes. However things went OK and everyone was civil to him and didn’t cause any hassle.
Got lots of Triumph attire for pressies, which I absolutely love. Always nice to have new stuff to wear. Got some other gifts too, usual smellies, obligatory socks and boxers, a couple of metal pictures from Lee with WWII planes on them and the latest Terry Pratchett book, “Unseen Academicals”. Halfway through that already.
The weather has been really naff. It went from all the lovely snow we had to real nasty ice. It was even difficult to get off the estate in the car. With all that was happening over Christmas week I ended up having to drive every day, when all I really wanted to do was to curl up in the nice warm house! Felt more like a taxi driver and not getting paid for it!
Not been out on the bike since I finished work. The last journey I had to turn back as the bike was missing badly. She has been playing up for some time, but always cleared quickly, so I thought it was just mucky petrol in the carbs, but this time it didn’t clear, so I’m suspecting a coil. I’ve had to book  her in to the local shop to be checked out and also to have a new rear tyre fitted. If it is a coil then I shall replace both of them. Not how I really wanted to start the New Year as it won’t be cheap!
Only 6 more days until I start my new job and am getting nervously excited now. Having chatted to the secretary a few times, I think i am going to fit in pretty well, because they all sound pretty laid back about things, and I remember from the interview, thinking that the pair that conducted it were right nutters! LOL
The cats are growing rapidly and have had a great time with the Xmas decos! (See photos). Sadly all are down again now so they have to find other ways of creating havoc! They’re the naughtiest pair of cats I have ever known, but you just can’t help loving the little blighters!

Just a quick word of warning as well. One of my faves has suggested we have a JaSurMo, with a survey for every day in January. Now you know I don’t do these much…………………………………..but if it happens be prepared to be bombarded! LOL
