NoJoMo – Hiatus and Collections

profile for riverwolfe

For today, the “Introduction to Wicca” that I have been doing gets a hiatus. Reason being, I was able to get home for a day and a half and I’m not going out to my truck to get the book to copy the information down that I want. So, you get my musings and witty personality instead. And, would you like fries with that?

This week, work-wise, has been shot to hell. I arrived, on Sunday afternoon (almost a week ago), in the Atlanta area to get some maintenance performed on my truck. A few specific things such as the drive tires, an air leak and the fact that the APU was not starting up for low voltage.

Well, it was an exercise in futility. Because of the minuscule size of the Forest Park yard, there wasn’t any place to drop my trailer and so I wasn’t able to get my maintenance done on Sunday. I had to leave and go to a truck stop then come back the following morning…which was a mistake.

A mistake because I missed my “appointment” to get my maintenance done and now I was going to be a work-in. I ended up at the Forest Park yard from Monday to Thursday afternoon. And, to top it all off, they weren’t able to fix any of the problems I needed fixed! All they did was replace one tire and lube the truck.

Four days and that’s all they did.

Yeah, you are right. I’m not happy about it.

However, there’s one very small saving grace to it. I ended up with the flu. I know you are now asking, “how can THAT be a saving grace?!” For the reason that had I been under a load and gotten sick, I would’ve been in worse shape that being stuck at the yard. It worked out for the reason alone and, luckily I was able to get to a doctor the morning after I contracted the flu and got some Tamiflu. It didn’t hit me as hard as it has in the past but it was bad enough for me.

Then I was able to get a load from that area to close-to-home and, yet again, I’m waiting to get another load for tomorrow afternoon. So, I got to come home and get some alone time with Gina. She and I were both very pleased with that particular development.

And, for once, I’ll do the NoJoMo prompt of collections.

When I was younger, I used to collect the Hardy Boys books. It was a great book series but not something that an adult would particularly be interested in. I really haven’t gotten into collecting anything else until recently but I haven’t been able to get the collection started as of yet. Geocoins are the thing I am getting into now. I would like to start a collection, but they are sometimes very expensive for the ones I covet.

Till Next Time,
Blessings!

r- more or less, being able to do things together? Like Tim likes to kayak, and I do it with him? Or I like to go for walks and he comes, etc
