New Year’s
It’s a New Year and there have to be Resolutions that come with the New Year, don’t there? Well, not always as I have not made many resolutions in the past but those I did make, I kept at about 50%. I did quit smoking in 2007 like I resolved to do at the beginning of that year in my personal resolution that I brought my wife along with. One of the better things I’ve done for myself…and my wife.
This year, I’m making a Resolution for my health again. Last year, I enrolled in a local gym that is also nationwide that, at the beginning of the year, I went to constantly until I ended up in the Boston area for training for three weeks. Because of the training schedule and the weather, I got out of going to the gym and really didn’t get back into it after I got back from training.
Well, I went to the doctor yesterday and weighed in at….are you ready for the number?…300 pounds. TOO MUCH for my frame and NOT HEALTHY at ALL.
So, during my day yesterday while I was driving an hour and a half to my one call, I made a Resolution to be heathier. Which started yesterday with a trip to the gym and 11 minutes on the elliptical for a total of 1 mile and some sweating that is good for me. Additionally, I spoke with Gina and told her of my decision which includes eating differently low carb time and the hope that she will embark upon this journey with me.
Meat and cheese and all manner of low carb items are the order of the day for every day from now until I get back into shape.
And, while ROUND is a shape, it is not the shape I want to be.
Till Next Time,
chuckles- round is cool, so is oblong
