Here goes another attempt

An attempt at writing an entry into my online diary, that is.

Let me make this perfectly clear though, before I begin writing. My attitude has changed since the beginning of this diary into something that most people are going to interpret as hostility. That could be true but I don’t think so as I don’t feel hostile. Individual people seem to be in the tolerable group but when individuals come together into a group, profess that they know better than me about what I should believe/trust/depend in/on, then my ire gets ruffled.

Read my last entry for example. It is my opinion that the word “politician” should be synonymous with the word “liar” because that’s all any of them can do.

If you require another example, which you probably don’t but which I will provide anyway, look at any church in the nation. Each one of those entities profess to know what my relationship with god should be (yes, I left it lower case for a reason) without knowing the type of relationship I have with god…or if I prefer to have a relationship with god at all. But, the leaders and most attendees of these establishments have made up their mind to ensure that I am “saved” by their definitions and that my soul will not be condemned to an eternity in hell.

Interesting, don’t you think?

You know the funny thing about the majority of these people? On Sunday, they are the pinnacle of Christian attributes…aside from the judging of the wardrobe of every person that enters the establishment that they attend (“Oh can you believe Margaret is wearing THAT! It makes her butt look so BIG!), but Monday through Saturday is party time! Drinking and cussing and being even more judgmental than ever. And if you think I’m making this up, step back and watch with an unbiased opinion of the people you are watching.

Now, I know what you’re going to say, especially if you attend one of these establishments – “My church isn’t like that!” Really though, step back and watch. See what happens when someone comes in after working on the car all morning long in order to make it to church, covered in grease and oil, wearing jeans and a t-shirt covered in grease and oil. Do you really think they won’t get looked down upon because they didn’t put on their “Sunday best?” Your church is not that special in that regard.

Oh, I know, human nature. It’s human nature to be judgmental. Yeah, I know, but if you live by the words you scream at me because I don’t live by them, then your judgmentalisms should be gone.

So, now that I’ve pissed off a few friends in the process of this entry, I’ll leave you to do what you do best. Judge me and find me guilty so that you can justify removing me from your friends list, bookmarks or whatever they have on this site and others. At this point and time, I don’t care.

Till Next Time,

Friends should be respectful of what their friends believe in. I hope none of your friends have removed you off their friends’ list and bookmarks. I don’t mind what my friends beliefs are (even if totally against mine) for I am a very tolerant person. Ps : just read you for the first time, and you don’t sound hostile at all. 🙂 Random Noter

Hence why I don’t agree with organized religion.

Hi K! Got the friends request and approved it but I have to say that I don’t write here anymore…maybe someday I’ll start again but I wanted to have a blog that I could combine into a combo personal/professional one and OD didn’t fit that profile. I’ve privatized all of my entries here except for the last two which contains links to my new blog plus all the usual twitter/facebook/website stuff…should you want to use them. Hope you & your family is OK and that your mom is doing well. Are you still geocaching? I haven’t gotten out in a couple of years and miss it terribly. My free time seems to have been gobbled up by running teens around to activities and trying to keep up with the latest house disaster. Ugh.

I forgot to say that I do come back a couple times a week to read some old faves so I’ll be around from time to time.

Thou shall not judge less ye be judge, a verse from the bible, i like to use to remind those choose to judge me for how i choose to believe or what faith i might have in god (also in lower case for same reason as you im sure). to each their own, i just wish my own mother would learn the true meaning of that sripture, but unfortaninatlly being so strong in her faith in her religion….

one thing I have learnt in life is we all have our own set of unique tools to work with to get us to the place we are all going too. The problem is there are those who believe that we need their tools to get us there and they believe they are superior in their knowing than we are. So we end up with a confused judgemental awful world that creates inner and outer chaos. My tools work for me and

yours work for you. Can we be friends if our tools are different?
