DePhoMo – Decidedly Desert

profile for riverwolfe

Well, here we are with more pictures for our viewing pleasure today. For those of you that have not been the back roads from Salt Lake City to Albuquerque, here are a few of the memorable pictures I took during that trip.

This was at the outskirts of Moab, UT. They apparently wanted to point out something which I did not see.

This is one of the arches that is very close to the Arch National Park near Moab, UT. The only thing that I thought that would make these type things would be water and, to me, that means water was in this area millions of years ago.

A close-up view of the previous picture. Mind you, it is difficult to take these type pictures traveling down the road.

A picture of some distant peaks as I drove past them in northwestern New Mexico.

Another peak but not so distant.

After all the geocaching I’ve done, this reminds me more of a rotted out tree stump…a great place to hide a cache!

I ended up sitting all day today in La Vergne, TN after getting the tire replaced on the trailer and an air leak fixed on the truck. I had a feeling that I’d be sitting because of all the Marten trucks I saw in the truck stop. Oh well, at least I get to catch up on some movie watching.

Blessings unto you all!

Those peaks are kind of freaky looking…I’ve never seen anything like that!
