Amazed….and confused

It never ceases to amaze me how much my wife amazes me.

Earlier this week, I called a friend of mine, Al, and had a very interesting conversation with him about a hobby that he’s gotten into – GeoCaching. More or less, it boils down to going out into various areas and finding items dropped by other people. As you can see from the website, there are over 600,000 caches around the world.

This is something I have become very interested in. So much so that I am looking for a GPS unit online and am planning the stuff I will need to take along with me while I go out and find some if these caches.

After looking into this for a couple of days and really getting my anticipation up and running for buying my first GPS unit, I told Gina that I was really beginning to get into this.

Her reply was that she had seen this before and thought it was interesting but since we didn’t own a hand-held GPS unit, it was a moot point.

Now, from my enthusiasm of this, she has fed off of it and wants to get involved also. To the point – surprise, surprise – she wants her own GPS to go around our hometown and find the local caches.

That’s why I’m amazed. I would have never, not in a million years, guessed that my wife would want to go out and find these things.

I mean, I’m using this as a good excuse for me to get off my ass and get out into the world and out of the truck for some time. After all, I need to monopolize on the weight loss I’ve been experiencing by getting out and walking some. Eventually, I am going to have to get a bicycle and, strangely enough, I’m looking forward to that also.

While I’m at it, I might as well tell you what I did to my head. When I was out and about on the west coast, I stopped into a Target store and bought a hair clipper. So, now I went from this:

To this:

Needless to say, Gina’s not particularly happy about it.

Till Next Time,
Blessings!

I have often thought I would like Geocaching but want to wait until I have more time to devote to it. Good luck and let us know what you find. We want picture of the new ‘do too!

Well, hair grows back! Heh! I have always wanted to try geocaching. I look forward to your tales! It seems like it’d be most fun with someone else.
