ABC 26/52 – I

And here’s my next installment into the ABC thing that’s sweeping OpenDiary. This might be a little scary for some of you…well, most of you…but you’ll understand why I am using the word I am to describe these pictures as such.

This is what my steer tires looked like when I arrived in Huntingburg last night. It is probably a good thing that I had them replaced or I was going to be looking at Interment had I continued to run on them.

This is what’s in their place now. A HUGE difference!

While I was at it, I had the shop replace all the drive tires – for a total of 10 tires replaced – and

This is what they replaced with…

This. Another huge difference.

The drive tires were the original tires that were sent with the truck when it was purchased – this according to the main guy at our shop in Huntingburg. So, 355,300 miles on a set of tires isn’t too bad at all. I also got a three axle alignment while I was there as the steer tires didn’t last me quite one year.

Here are some more pictures of the process of replacing my tires.

The drives off and waiting to be replaced.

The process of removing the tires is manual instead of using those machine most of us are familiar with.

The new drives in place.

The new steers in place. Sorry you can’t really tell though.

I won’t tell you what this cost me because I don’t want any of you to look at Interment either.

Till Next Time,
Blessings!

Yea… most people would probably faint at the cost of replacing steers and drives on a tractor…. lol
