So much has happened since I last wrote. I have an extreme problem with continuing to write the same thing over and over again like I was before so I just kind of got away from writing again. Maybe I’ll get back into it. No promises though.

Since my last entry I have been promoted in my job from a Tech 1 to a Tech 2 and have been set to training in Boston in February of 2011. It involved three weeks separated from my family but came with a company vehicle and an increase in pay.

Additionally, my youngest son came to visit me in Oxford and proceeded to attempt to steal and thieve his way to the local police station. He has returned to his mother and my oldest has come to live with me and finish his high school. He recently graduated from Army Basic Training in Fort Leonard Wood, MO the day before Veteran’s Day and is now at Fort Lee in Virginia. During the graduation ceremony, he stated that he was from Mississippi instead of Texas and that warmed my heart to think that he considers Mississippi his home now. I’m very proud of him.

We also got a dog in November. First it was Bo. A cute little Lab/Husky mix that had the cutest playfulness you could get in a 6 week old puppy that weighed 10 pounds. Then it was May and his 60 pounds yanked Gina off of her feet to make her look as if she got the crap beaten out if her and broke her hand too. That wasn’t enough though because Bo’s sister Mishka came available for the third time to us, and free of charge, so we got her. It was, quite possibly, the best decision we could’ve made for Bo as it has calmed him somewhat and given him a playmate to expend his inexhaustible energy. They love each other and I have a couple of dogs that are just absolutely awesome.

The current picture of the dogs. Between the two of them, they weigh about 150 pounds.

The Cardinals won the World Series this year – w00t!! Number 11 in 2011 but Tony LaRussa decided to retire. Hopefully the Cardinals decide to retain Albert Pujols. I’d hate to see him go elsewhere.

I turned 40 this year, “finally” as a friend put it to me. I did get what I wanted for my birthday though…an iPad 2 which I am using to type this entry. It’s about my only way I access the Internet anymore even though I have access to multiple computers. I guess working on computers in business consistently really does lower your personal usage of them.

That’s about it though. I’m sure I’ve forgotten many things that were just as important as the ones I’ve mentioned here but these were the ones that stuck in my head the best.

Till Next Time,

Her wounds look nasty. But the dogs don’t seem to be too huge and heavy. Congrats on your eldest son’s graduation. 🙂
