Considering I never went to a single dance throughout the entirety of my school career that leaves me with the first prompt of a song of the (day) year you were born. Unless your birthday happened to be on a Tuesday you’d only get singles on your birthday, and there was only one album in my birth month worth mentioning, however I though I’d post a Misfits song. Their punk and horror aesthetic both fit my life and personality far better than most other things.

Geez. The big hit songs the year I was born (1944) were: Bing Crosby, “Swinging On a Star;” Bing Crosby & The Andrews Sisters, “Don’t Fence Me In;” Bing Crosby, “I’ll Be Seeing You;” Bing Crosby, “I Love You;” and Ella Fitzgerald & The Ink Spots, “I’m Making Believe.” ALL records were singles, and 78 RPM at that. No such thing as an album. A “punk” was a nasty kid or a long stick you lit to get smoke and a nice smell. The “horror aesthetic” that year included films such as “The Lodger” and “House of Frankenstein,” but no songs.
