hey now

happy mlk weekend.

Its been highly unproductive. All weekends have been. It seems my dish washer is still leaking, despite all the hard work and effort that my apartment maintence team went into attempting to make it not leak without replacing it. That thing is ANCIENT. its probably older than I am.

went shopping today. all these stores are doing sales. its nuts. but i couldn’t find ANYTHING that i liked. but maybe that’s cuz I wasn’t entirely up for digging through boxes/bins (victoria’s secret & express) but its cool. whatever.

i’ve been READING alot in this downtime between semesters. its nothing earth shattering or like really deep or anything. just fun little books that don’t take too long to read. So i’ve read all of the Plum novels by Janet Evanovich. They’re good funny chick lit type books. Metro Girl (also by Janet Evanovich) is quite good. I’m currently reading the bad place (i think that’s what its called) its dean koontz book in any case.

i’m hoping to get out snowboarding this long weekend. and i’m also hoping to get this apartment cleaned up!

THings i can’t find: spare key, and my calling card (which still has like 500 minutes or so on it) *sigh*

 anyway. goals for this year:

– get moving again! i’ve been a bum far too long. I’m back up to my heaviest weight. and back in my “fat” clothes.

– getting the above done will also help me run a 10k this year

– maybe try and get out and be more social.

– try and keep my apartment a bit neater. its a MESS now

who knows what 2005 has in store. but hopeful its not too terrible.

and what’s up with people getting married these days! yeesh. So 4 weddings in the last 2 years. and THREE of my friends from HS got engaged this year. its NUTTY i say. NUTTY! esp cuz I can’t find a guy. 🙁 boo. oh well. I always like to think that i’m happier single, so i can’t REALLY complain. but a girl could always use a a buddy to mess around with. *sigh* but i’m not really a bar hanging out-y/guy pickingup-y kinda gal. stupid personality type.

Our dishwasher is older than I am. It’s at least 22. Eek. And it doesn’t work, so it sits there and looks charming. Sometimes.

Just about everyone at my job is either in a relationship or married. I hate being single while they talk about their relationship. BTW, the new DMB live cd is good. To bad you can only order it off the web site.
