Well Hello 2013

2013 already! As I say at the beginning of every month where does the time go! I can’t believe another year has flown by. In a blink of an eye or two I will be writing this same thing New Years of next year!

New Years this year wasn’t much different than last year. I had a couple of appointments so I got up and Angela and I went into the shop. Then we came home and made dinner. Morris had to take June to the hospital for a transfusion because her blood count had dropped again. After dinner Devin and Brittany came up and we played Monopoly until shortly after midnight. I was out first but it was all good because Dusty lost to Devin in the end. He was so mad! New Year’s Day Dusty and I slept in until almost 1000. I got up and made breakfast and then got ready and Angela and I headed to Walmart. We spent like two hours in there shopping. Came home, made dinner and started a purse.

So other than June, which I will get to in a minute, there hasn’t been much going on as always. Christmas went wonderfully. Santa brought Angela her train and her Barbie Jeep power wheels. Which was a small miracle. Dusty and I went to get it at Walmart the Friday before Christmas (what the 21st?) so as we’re leaving I ask if he thinks it will fit in my car. I said yeah I think so if we lay the back seats down and slide it in the trunk. He’s like okay. We get to Walmart and guess what’s to big to fit in my car? Yep! Was too big to fit through my trunk and too tall to slide in the door. Thank god Tina, Tim and Courtney were there shopping too and we were able to put it in the back of their truck!

So on to June…She is recovering wonderfully from her surgery. We followed up with the hematologist the week before Christmas and her blood count numbers were up. However right after Christmas she started getting sick again. So the 30th Leona took her out the the emergency room and the ER doctor told her she had the flue and gave her an antibiotic. Well finally we got them to run a blood test and her numbers and dropped majorly again! So they made arrangements for her to come back first thing in the morning to have a transfusion. Which ended up taking all day Monday. Her and Morris ended up ringing in the New Year out there. After the drop in her numbers I call the hematologist and she rescheduled her blood draw today to an injection to help boost her production. Well we got there this morning at 1000, her appointment was at 1045. So right at 1045 they called us back and did a blood draw. At about 1110 they came out with the results. Her numbers were holding steady and they would call us back for her injection in few. Well she had to be next door to follow up with the heart surgeon at 1130 so at 1120 we left to go over there. Yeah that guy was running way behind. so much for her 1130 we didn’t get back to see him until after 1245. Got done with him and went back over to hematologist where after waiting another 20 minutes they call us back to tell us under her new insurance we have to run a full set of labs and then wait for them to approve it before she can get her injections. I have to take her back Monday (pending its approved) for that. Please note the hospital and all these specialist offices are 75 miles away an hour and a half drive.

Wow what a long entry. Didn’t mean for that to happen…If you are still with me congratulations! I will be trying to catch up with my favs over the next week or two. So one last thing before I go. I apparently didn’t write down New Year’s Resolutions last year. If I did I couldn’t find them. So none to review but I am going to write some down for this year…

Lose 5lbs per month
Write on OD at least once a week
Complete the 365 day photo task
Read my daily reading to complete the whole Bible this year
Complete 75% of my dayzeroproject
Start working out again and do it regularly
Spend 30 minutes with Angela doing something meaningful each day
Drink 3 bottles of water per day
Spend less time on the computer (goal <1 hour per day non work related)
Be more on top of the house work
