speaking of pancakes *edit one more time

ive had a request by claire to go to her mom’s home and make pancakes.  its easier for me to travel the 7 miles or so then for all of them to get in vehicles with babies and come to me.

so i have my trusty skillet, my own spatula, and "real" butter and im about to leave to go cook up batches of pancakes for my adult grandkids.

i got a text last night from claire "are you still coming tomorrow"  i said yes and i got this "i cant wait"

love those kids.  simple meal but it brings such a bond.  maybe thats whats missing in some homes, the sitting around the table? 

its a good thing.

then i come home bathe and go meet my classmates for a luncheon around noon.

then off for the weekend to visit vikki in eunice.

no grass under these feet hon.

oh the play was a great success even though we had to fight mardi gras.  that week was slow of course, we only had 50 and 60 people but the other weekend afterwards was over 100 each night.  it was good.

*edit…i was there by 7:15, mixed up the pancakes and started…burnt two because i was not use to my daughter’s electric stove then i was boogieing (sp?).  anyway brooke showed up, claire, meghann and i cooked some for my daughter rachelle and the help.  ok my daughter’s housecleaner has become "the help" since the movie.  we all had a good morning.

**FORGOT TO MENTION, I STILL GOT IT!!!  I THREW THOSE PANCAKES UP IN THE AIR AND CAUGHT IT LIKE A PRO.  THE KIDS OHHH AND AHHHH’S AND CLAPPED THEIR HANDS.  dont take much to make us happy eh?
