not a thing to do

so i get home from the LSU/TULANE basketball game, LSU  lost but it was fun anyway, locked my door and settled in because by this time it is  after 6pm and dark.

i hate winter and the darkness of it.

so i wake up the next morning, unlock my door only to find my house and car keys still in the door knob from last night.  im lucky to live in a safe neighborhood.  i would say im losing it mentally but i think we all make silly mistakes and im not about to even think im at that point in my life…if that was the case it would have been mental since birth.

i miss this place.  maybe i will show up more often.

I avoid driving at night when I can, which is hard when it’s dark at 5:30PM!

I’ve done that a couple of times… Just left the keys in the lock. My husband has let himself in with them and waved them at me both times. Just distracted and doing too much, perhaps?

I have been wondering if you were okay. Glad to see you. I have done that very thing. Parked the car in the garage, unlocked the door and left they keys there with the car key for a bonus. Aren’t we lucky we lived to tell about it?

I hope you do show up more often….you have been missed here. Winter can be great for hot drinks by a cosy fire with someone cuddly, or getting stuck into good books, handrcafts or overdue projects, or maybe even preserving all the garden harvest. Better than focussing on the darkness and waiting for it to pass…. hugs and smiles p

I don’t lock my house unless we are going to be gone for a few days. And then we are lucky to find our keys to get back inside.

I’ve done that before. Once when I lived in an apartment someone knocked on my door and said, “your keys are in the door!”

I am delighted when you write in your diary It is always good to hear from you as for leaving your keys in your door 1 time I left them in my car door and drove off for a month in my rig Sometimes we just have to many things on our mind at 1 time

C is always doing that and every once in awhile I will as well. I hate to drive after night but it is even worse on these narrow, unlit back roads. I try to get all my running done before dark which does come to see. It is good to see you here again, Daisy, though FB is so much easier. Hugs to you,
