im ok
what a hardheaded storm!
isaac may not have been strong but the sonofabitch slow ass storm played havoc with the people all over the gulf coast. a fast moving stronger storm comes and does its destruction and the next day youre cleaning up. but this monster was a weaker storm so everyone took it lightly. many never left their homes and got pounded for days and days of 60 and 70 mph winds. that takes a toll on any structure.
i left, no way this old lady can take heat. thanks to vikki and her son and his wife for putting up with me and my big mutt jackie. love yall big.
well as soon as they said i could come home i did. at one point we were blocked from coming because of so much downed wires and trees.
talk about hot folks! i cant take this heat, its exhausting. last night around 9pm the power came on. thank you God and the men that repaired the lines.
im sitting here with a sweater on now, i like it that way.
you know whats scarey? when i would hear the weather channel say that we were getting 20 inches of rain water. im thinking there is no way my home is not flooded!! my neighbor told me it never even came close to anything like that. maybe i just missed the bands that carried all the rains. i was happy about that.
So glad you’re okay! Was wondering how you would faring with the storm coming up. Thankfully it has passed now and things can get back to normal soon. Do you write here much anymore? I miss you and the family over there. Wondering if anyone is still writing, to keep up with them. xxx

Oh, Thank Goodness! I was worried about you, bigttime! I don’t like the heat either, but I live with a cheapskate, and he refuses to pay for the cost of A/C… Ome more reason for me to HATE this place.
