a phone call

my land phone starts ringing when i had just hung up with my daughter on my cellphone.  i wont answer my land phone because everyone well mostly everyone calls my cell and my land is mostly calls from people wanting to sell me something i dont want.

well anyway my land phone is ringing and and i go to my computer room to see the caller ID (a different state area code and i do not answer) and i had to do a double take.  yall for just an instant i was baffled to the point of getting closer to the id on my phone because its like this is not right.  i know i did a double take.  it was my own cell phone calling my land phone, now how in the world did i do that.  i have often called others….im sure you have, too.  we call them butt calls or bra calls, but to have a call to myself is a first.  i look at the cell phone in my hand and sure enough.  now why would i have my phone number on my own cell you say,  especially as a recent call?  well this woman cannot ever find her cell in her own house so i had called myself earlier.  as least i always hear a friendly voice.

havent been here in awhile.  been busy.  granddaughter claire had a lovely son last month.  he is named victor madison, he carries my dad’s name.  he looks so like chis (the daddy).  i love going to my daughter’s just so i can see all the little ones.  they all live with in a stone’s throw from each other.

yesterday i brought an enormous pot of homemade veggie soup and i stood by the stove at my oldest daughter’s home and made one grilled cheese sandwich after another.  her 4 daughterswere there with their babies.  i was in my element.

i use to be able to steal pictures from facebook to post here and now for some reason i cannot thats why i havent posted pics of the newest born, i’ll keep trying.

RYN: Thanks, Daisy! You are so right. This semester has been unbelievable with these two astronomy classes. Yes, I must find a meeting, perhaps this weekend.

Have a very nice weekend!

<3 that’s all i wanted to say. OH. and that on good fridays in my middle school days, i had to go to the stations of the cross mass, too, and it was all very somber and sad…except i was the ONLY non-catholic in the bunch. LOL! so not only did i do it allllll day long at school, but then i’d go to Dad’s for the weekend, and off we’d go to do the lutheran spiel of it all. i’m with you. Ol’Jesus would be hangin’ with us on the patio, sippin’ a mai thai and nibblin’ on shrimp, tellin’ dirty jokes (“didja hear the one about the priest, the rabbi and Me,” Jesus tosses out non-chalantly…) and watching the sun set. at the end, i hope he’d say “…well, now. that’s a MUCH more pleasant way to die…”

Wow lots of little ones running around again, eh? How time flies. You’re so young yourself, it’s just marvelous to see.
