i worked 40 hours this week for the first time since student teaching last fall.

and

it wasn’t terrible.

unlike teaching, its kinda nice not to come home in a bad mood with loads more work to do. i leave work at work.

i made a 99 on my final from training. and even though its probably just part of my glass half full nerdiness, i thought my training was actually pretty interesting. i liked learning about the different laws and regulations governing things and everything has a place and a specific process and i really respond to that sort of environment. ok yeah i’m a nerd.

i’m looking forward to the 40-hour a week pay checks that will start at the end of the month. until then, i’ll keep positive – even if its not necessarily documented.

for today:

1 – i am an eternal optimist to the point where in really annoys the cynics around me.
2 – i am a very silly person.
3 – i really like listening to people and trying to make them feel better. i think a am a good ear and shoulder.
4 – green is my favorite color and green is the color of geniuses. coincedence… i think not.
5 – tonight is sunday dinner night!!! my love and i (mostly i) are making honeybaked ham, macoroni and cheese casserole, broccoli, and potato salad. very excited. it will be very yummy and will also result in very yummy leftovers to take to work next week.
