Beast Mode!

Anyways Spacelion would be proud BEAST MODE! I went and bought 2 1/2 lb wrist and ankle weights the other day. Too add some extra work to my Insanity workouts, so 10lbs in all, 2 and a half pounds on each arm and each leg. Let me tell you it makes it harder thats for sure, but i can still rock it out pretty damn good! I’ve lost 30lbs in total so i figure adding 10lbs back for resistances would be a good idea, i am also looking into a weighted vest, to add more, hopefully will get one in a month or two. I have done 2 insanity workouts with the weights so far and i can feel it in my body, and i think its gonna help alot. The Insanity workouts were starting to get abit easy (i know crazy to say, but i’ve done each one about 30 to 40 times now) so ya i can do most of month 1 without breaks and month 2 ones with minor 1 or 2 breaks, so it was time i make them harder, so i have, i am looking at the 40lb weighted vest, not that i could do an extra 40lbs and do insanity right now, but its adjustable so you can drop it to 5lbs and go up in 1 pound incerments. But like i said i will have so save up abit of money to get it. But when i do lookout! Not only would i use it for Insanity it would work well for ym pushups and pull ups. I got 3 weeks left of P90X/Insanity hybred, and then i am starting it again, just gonna structure it differently, plus all my workouts will be harder with the added weights to Insanity and the weighted push ups and pull ups with my back pack. I cant wait to take ym next set of pics!
In other news comic stuff is going great, should have the cover page ina day or two, and then will add the words to the other pages and get page 4 on the go. Tonight i am gonna try and start on the Logo for the web page, Red Sqwid Productions muahaha
Anywho need to get dinner on the go.
RYN: I only have season 2 right now. I bought the entire box set for my ex partner, so she has them now. Although she does bring them over and we watch them lol. So I’m slowly re buying them. I can’t wait until I get all six seasons again!

WOAH!! You are truly crazy. Awesome, beasty, yes, but also crazy! :D. WEIGHTED PULL-UPS = GOD MODE. Jeez, I need to start practicing to do a non-weighted pull-up let alone adding weight to that! I love what you said about losing weight, so adding a bit of that weight back.. It’d be interesting to see how hard my workouts would be with 60+lbs on top of it haha. I’m excited to see where you go…

ryn – I read somewhere about it being dangerous to use them for ankle weights as it can damage tendons and ligaments because of the way that they move due to gravity. I’m about to do some tai bo using them. Quite looking forward to seeing how/if I’ll feel a difference tomorrow! How are you finding them?

RYN: I’m so so close to buying P90x right now – would you say it would be suitable (or least able to work around) shin splints? I’m so desperate for some sort of set programme and I’ve been eyeing both Insanity and P90x for some time now! (Although sadly Insanity isn’t an option right now with my legs being tards and all).

RYN: I have all 3! Well I already have free weights (the ones you can pack extra weight on and adjust with the screwy fasteners), not sure what size weight to start using for P90X though? Any recommendations? If not I’m sure I’ll figure it out! I ordered a chin-up bar from JML (only £17! the beachbody one is RIDICULOUSLY priced I’m afraid haha) and some resistance bands from amazon just in case 🙂
