road trip

so Thursday i woke up and was talking to Chris and stuff and… we decided to take a road trip. like siriusly.

first, our plan was to go look into a cake, and then do a gift registry at crate and barrel.

then i was like "why dont we go to the museum instead? i havent been there in a long time and i really really wanna see the titanic thing"

at first he was all good with it, but eventually we decided upon the roadtrip instead. we talked about where he used to go camping and he wanted to go check it out.

so first we went to Madison. we drove through the campus area and decided one thing: we hate it. its crowded together and busy and annoying. so… that means ill be out of state for pharmacy school, cuz i dont care that Cardinal Stritch might be opening a pharmacy school. graduate school in a private college? yeah. not that rich.

so then we had to go north towards the dells for where he went camping. we missed the exit, cuz he hasnt been there since his dad died over a decade ago, and so we decided to go drive through the dells since i havent been there since i was, like, 6 or 7, and couldnt remember it at all. i DID recgonize the one place, which excited me. its, like, a science museum place, and we went there and i remember Roni freaked out about one of those metal balls making her hair stand up all over the place. it was like, 20ish minutes away, so after driving through, we started on the way back towards the exit for the camping place…. and missed it again.

now, if youve ever been in that area youll know one thing: there is absolutely no exits around other exits for at least 7-10 miles. so we decided to come back another day instead of turning around. it was already about 630, and it was a dreary day to begin with.

it was around 8 by the time we got home, so we spent 8 hours just sitting in the car driving. it was relaxing, but by the end of it, nice to be done.

friday was normal, and then after i got off work at 2 on saturday we went to the mall to do the registry for crate and barrel… then decided against it.

they have really nice stuff, but my god, its way more expensive then we imagined. so we decided to just stick with the two: target and kohls.

it should be plenty, in my opinion. im probably gonna go online too and add a little bit of stuff.

i have all the invites made out and done, in the envelopes and everything. i need to get a few more addresses that came back when i sent out save the date cards, then get the response cards and find out a little bit more about the reception and then seal them up and send them. im hoping to have them ready to go by the last week of april or so…

blarg.

so close to having everything done. i cant wait.

I NEED TO FIND FLOWERS. but i cant decide: im going with just some nice arrangements from work, like, 6-8 of them or so for around the hall and im going to get all the guys flowers and the mothers/grandmothers done by a regular florist for the most part… but my bridesmaids and my bouqets…. silk or real?????? uuuuuuuuuuugh.

im tired. im going to bed. laterz.

I would do silk flowers for yours especially – I’d wanna keep it forever, you know? Was Chris talking about Mirror Lake campground? Cause that’s where I always went when we used to camp up there, and it was awesome but kinda hard to find, so I can see missing it. I miss the Dells. I wanna take a trip there someday soon.
