Makes No Sense

I’ve concluded that it makes no sense to waste my gas going far out just to do tasks because I’m being watched everywhere I go. I’d go far for an actual job, but driving far for this stuff doesn’t work.

I have “new neighbors” and new surveillance at my front door to monitor when I come and go from my apartment. There were new video cameras installed at certain stores I’ve been frequenting as a consumer for the past six years. Certain “customers” record me with those god-awful doorbell cameras and minuscule robots, lmao.

Every time I try to start gathering bill money, something weird happens, like I’ll get throttled or get a sudden swarm of horrible requests. I might get lucky and get to do one task before that happens.

When I try to sign up for something new, I usually receive newly inserted “documents” to review that are riddled with threats and false accusations about things I never even dreamed of doing and have never done to anyone during the course of my work.

Also, someone entered my apartment about a month ago and rummaged through my things, went looking for specific documents, and left them on the drawer for me to look at again. They also took one of my keyboards and some other things. They still come in and leave things on the fridge for me to review as well. Mostly threats.

That’s the kind of stuff I have to go through these days. It’s actually harassment, and the only reason the harassers don’t get in trouble is because they’re rich. None of the authorities care, most of the people I’ve lived around for the past six years turn a blind eye to it or are OK with it, and a majority of businesses go along with it.

I haven’t completed many job applications, maybe a handful since I’ve been out of work, but every one of my attempts gets blocked one way or another. They either blow me off, act like they didn’t know they had an interview scheduled, tell me they “can’t hire right now,” or say they “have so many applicants and new hires”. Then there’s the “write your number on a piece of paper” kiss-off.

Mind you, these are places that had ads out and full interview reservation schedules, lol. They could have let me earn some bill money, but they chose not to.

So it looks like someone doesn’t want me to work at all, and they are yet again eating popcorn and waiting for me to get thrown out of my home.

I don’t know what’s going to happen, to be honest. Things don’t look very promising at this time. I just do the best I can with what have, which isn’t much.

I completed my final job application about a week ago. It was with a company that’s famous for its indifference. Indifference does not feel good. Let me make that perfectly clear. It’s not a nice sentiment and can actually make a person feel unwanted. However, it’s a thousand times better than supercharged angry and abusive obsession.

Ask yourself this:

Would you rather work for a company that blows you off and yawns at the idea of hiring you but then offers you a job …

OR

a company that hires you immediately, mystifies you, beats the sh!t out of you, mishandles/misclassifies/misunderstands you, runs you clean OFF, and then tries to bully you back for more of the same?

Note: We are talking about a low-level “basic”position worked by an allegedly “basic” person,  not anything managerial or any “vital” role. It’s important that this detail is understood because certain parties had obviously omitted it.

Ask yourself honestly because those are the choices for some of us in today’s job world. Not many organizations put efforts into wooing (or retaining) prospective talent anymore because so many people need work. So we either get yawning/snoozing or severe pummeling these days, lmao.

I was never a fan of pummeling. So I’d opt for a snoozer any day of the week except the sacred.

For right now, I’ll continue to fight to pay my bills with the only resources I have available and pray that things work out. It’s all I can do. Makes no sense to complete any additional applications.

The hunger games continue …

I’ve been a computer programmer for the last 20+ years and have worked for all sorts of companies, both good and bad, and everywhere in between. I’ve been with my currently company for 7 years and have been very fortunate to work with such great people…until recently.

@ews Sorry if you are having trouble at your job. Seems like things are taking a left turn everywhere. If you’ve been there 7 years, I’d say you should probably just stay there, as you most likely won’t find a better environment. You might find much worse, though, lol.

I’ve been in various industries over the course of my life, but mostly worked for retail giants in their physical stores (grocery, dept. stores, telecommunications, etc.). Verizon and some other big names that I’ll keep confidential at this time.

I’m a huge tech and mech fan, and I’ve been known to do a little something-something in the comfort of my own home at times. Like I do scanner and knowledge-based diagnostics and repairs on my own vehicle if a problem arises. No one else’s.

I mess with my own computers and other tech if it has an issue. No one else’s.

Algorithms, apps, and similar technologies interest me to the point where I can kind of “understand” their language and design and make “educated GUESSES” about them without ever misusing them or doing anything wrong to them or their designers. If you know, you just know. It’s neither a crime nor anything that can be fully explained, lol. It just is what it is. I’ve only ever used apps as intended.

However, I’ve never worked for an actual tech giant in an actual tech division of any kind. I’m mostly retail in terms of actual on-the-books work history.
