It Lies
It’s windy and cold inside. I woke up for a bathroom trip just now, I suppose.
As I said yesterday, I am done with being bothered about the uncontrollable. I just had to get it off my chest. I can’t control traffic, weather, tech glitches, underdeveloped AI systems, or other people’s malicious antics, so it’s best not to consider them at all.
The AI does lie and give incorrect statistics, though, and sometimes its percentages aren’t correct, lmao. A frustrated driver was just complaining about stuff like that yesterday.
He was a white male with over 10,000 deliveries, so no one perceived him as “crazy” or imagining things for pointing out the tech’s livelihood-detrimental features. No one said he was “delusional” for stating that he got hit despite marking “order not ready” and “couldn’t get help from employees” to describe his pickup interaction. He said he was frustrated and upset because things like can cause loss of livelihood, but no one said he was “crashing out.”
It’s all about how people perceive other people based on various factors and beliefs (stereotypes, personal issues, programming, etc.). Sometimes, two people can describe the same legit experience but people will only accept the truth from one.
He had gotten a “contract violation” based off of inaccurate data. He arrived at the store on time (early actually), but the AI said he was 13 minutes late and gave him a violation. The problem with that is the companies now take a “hands-off” approach and disappear when the AI lies and strikes drivers in error, and it does it quite frequently. It doesn’t help our cause when other humans work against us, too.
I’ve applied for regular work, but my attempts have gotten thwarted repeatedly. Can’t work a “real” job if one doesn’t offer me one.
I went out for a breath of fresh air last night, even though I didn’t necessarily want to go out there. I was mostly on a mission for French yogurt. I’ve been eating Oui by Yoplait lately. I picked it up for someone else a while back and got curious to buy some for myself because of the glass container and creamy look. It is creamy, and it’s very good. Chobani was the go-to before I tried it. It’s still good, but the Oui has the win. Chobani has more helpful cultures, but Oui tastes better overall.
That’s about it for today. I will need some good coffee so I can read the Scrips. I will also try to avoid thinking from a technical perspective because it probably won’t help me have a better day, lol.
