Hitting Hard

They were still hitting hard today, so I just came home.

Every single thing I ended up doing was high enough mileage to dwindle my gas down to nothing. You can’t reject everything, so you take what can somewhat help and burn your gas out in the process. It’s a no-win situation when you’re dealing with algorithms, pocket watchers, and live back-end trolling.

I saw some guy on the road holding a sign up that said “North”. Yeah, I’m not going that way. Even if I end up homeless, I won’t be going in that direction. I also won’t be too eager to communicate with anyone who helped facilitate the situation. Bullying just makes things worse. It pushes me farther away from the perpetrator(s), not closer to.

I took one gigantic task today solely because of the business I was doing it for. Anyone else would have been a hell no if I’d had all the details upfront, lmao.

I believe it was specially handpicked for me by the location, and it was a mother of a load. All I can say about that is at least it wasn’t an apartment. SMH.

In conclusion I’ll say that there are just some people in the world who don’t think I deserve to have anything. Such people believe I should work like I’m a dog or machine and earn the least. I can’t do anything to change their perspective, and I guess they feel justified doing what they do. But I can’t work for anyone who has that mentality about me, my people, and human beings in general.

One thing I can say about Snoozer Corporation is that they did give me a shot at somewhat technical things. I had to fight them tooth and nail to get it and then fight a whole separate fight once I got the position, but they did let me do it for a good while. Lol. Management was cool, and it was a pretty good gig until the bioengineered viruses entered the picture. Not perfect but I was actually pretty happy with my job during that time.

There were other things I liked doing there too, and like I said, seeing their logo doesn’t repulse me in the least. Truth be told, I kind of like the darn thing.

Hearing their name doesn’t pierce my soul, either. And you know, all some of us can hope for these days is to have a job with a company that doesn’t pierce our souls.
