AI Is Excluded

AI is excluded from the bit I wrote about the “preserved spirit” of an artist’s voice. I’m referring to authentic music, not AI-generated stuff. Original CDs are best because no one can tamper with them in any way. I still use streaming sites for now, though.

I know AI tools exist, and they can technically “recreate voices”. However, AI has no soul or spirit, and it’s incapable of assuming one. It can perform technical behaviors according to its developer’s mindset and guidance, but it can’t actually house the spirit of that person. Likewise, it can effectively copycat, recalculate and regurgitate, or mimic the work of a singer, writer, etc., but it can never be that person in spirit.

Anyone who’s keen on “vocal frequency” can tell if a song has an AI-generated “voice” behind it because it won’t mesh. It’ll probably give that type of “listener” the creeps.

I had that happen once when I was listening to music. The rest of the songs were fine, but then this one came on, and I immediately knew it was not the artist’s true voice. We’ll just say it didn’t agree with me, and I couldn’t listen to it.
