A Fine Day Once I Knew It

I fell asleep last night (Friday) in the middle of watching a video and waiting for an hour for my last few dollars from yesterday’s tasks to drop. The plan was to cash out and then make another little honest payment toward my rent before going to bed.

Welp, I fell asleep unintentionally at some point while the video was playing. When I woke up at 6 something, I had NO idea what day it actually was, lmao. The only thought in my not-fully-awake mind was to complete that cash out and payment.

Imagine how confused I was when I had an issue doing it, had to reach out to someone about it, and noticed the date was Saturday, March 29 on the communications.

I was in such disbelief about the day/date that I told them they needed to update their time system. LOL. Nope. It was me who needed to update my “time system”. I realized it a few minutes later, and everything was fine. I simply got off the chat and didn’t make the payment.

Trying to avoid doing business transactions on a certain day is challenging, though. One can initiate transactions on one day, and those transactions might still settle/complete on the wrong day if the businesses choose to settle them on that day.

I found that many of my payments had been settled on a certain day by businesses when I’d never actually did any business on that day and had never even left my home, lol. The last places that I purchased something were a fast-food place and department store last night, yet almost all the transactions from yesterday got “settled” today. Only two businesses left yesterday’s transactions pended, and one was the department store. All the rest were eager to settle today, lol.

It is what it is. I can only control what I do or don’t do. I can’t do much about where other people or companies stand.

We have to interact with some businesses in this world as consumers, workers, or whatever. There’s no way around it.

Welp, those businesses don’t always share our beliefs, opinions, practices, etc. So whatever we write about is based off our own views and doesn’t always reflect the views of such businesses.

Some accommodate but disagree. Others neither accommodate nor agree. Then there’s a whole other breed that unintentionally accommodates then craftily unaccommodates when they realize, lmao. It is what it is. We learn where businesses stand as we interact with them.

It was a good day once I was fully aware of the day, lol. I found an old series of faith-based cartoons that I had never seen before in my life and ended up watching them for hours. I liked them because they were edifying and full of absolute truth with all the spiritual elements included. It was the same kind of truth I had discussed recently but had been shut down, censored, labeled, etc.

I loved the series because it let me know that I am not the only one with such beliefs and “insight”. There are others out there who see, hear, and feel things the same way. I can’t even express how 9D and alive those videos were, lmao.

Some of them were eight years old, but the characters did and said things that resonated with stuff from recent topics. They even had a white male character on there who could not be persuaded to be on the “dark side.”

He “looked” like someone who could be persuaded (anarchy symbol on his clothes, tattoos, etc.), but he was actually on the good side. When presented with a certain offer, he told the cult leader he was NOT a devil and that he had three seconds to get out of his face, lol. He fought with the good side and got targeted right along with them.

The content creators still put stuff out today, and that made me smile a bit. It gets harder to find things I connect and resonate with these days.
