Hard to Say I’m Sorry (R)
One Day at a Time
Please note: Run log entry titles are often the same as the last song in the playlist, even if title seems to have nothing to do, otherwise. The last couple have been nice little puns to sum up what was going on in the entry. This one is sort of random, as I’m not really apologizing for anything, lol.
I’m not sure what good a 3 mile run does. I feel like I’m going backwards on the distance, even just for one run. But I suppose the training plan knows best. It’s smarter than me. So I’ll have to trust it. LOL.
I got about 9 hrs of sleep last night, after 6 hours the previous night, and 4 hours the night before that. And Even though I got all that sleep I still had time run before work. I’ve got to be at work in a little over an hour from now (it’s almost 2PM as I’m writing this). Work 3-11PM, then I have to work 10AM – 230PM tomorrow. And, I have my long run tomorrow, will run AFTER work, maye even after work AND a nap, even if it’s around dusk and a little chilly (can always bundle up). Well, what WILL eventually become a long run. My regular runs are about 4 miles. A short run right now is about 3 miles (that was today). And tomorrow’s long run calls for 6 miles IF I decide to place myself on Week 1 of the half marathon training plan. Tomorrow only calls for 5 miles if I decide to do the pretrain. It may be best to do the pretrain regimen for a few weeks, simply because I am not used to running 5 days a week (more like 3 or 4). I need a few weeks to become accustomed to the number of workouts before I start inching up the distance for each workout. Makes sense to me. As long as I stick with the pretraining plan it’s not like I’m dropping the ball or anything. It’s still a training plan and I’m still working successfully at it. I think it may be best. We’ll see. Either way, 5 miles or 6 miles tomorrow, the pace will be slower than average because the goal is distance, not pace/speed. And even if only 5 miles, that’s still longer relative to the 4 mile runs, so I will treat tomorrow’s run as a long run, no matter what.
