Full Time (and other randoms)
One Day at a Time
They’re making me full time at work. Officially. I will soon begin to accrue more vacation time and more personal hours. I will also get paid sick days (unlike now), although I hope I don’t have to use them since I don’t like being sick. I will get dental insurance as well but not until January of 2012 (because I will have to enroll for it next year during open enrollment later this year-strange, they allow part timers to get medical so I already have that, but I couldn’t get dental until I got full time). Forty hours most weeks with at least 36 hours guaranteed (right now it’s anywhere between 20 hrs and 36 hrs, averaging about 32 hrs but rarely more than 33 hrs). This will make fitting running into my schedule more difficult. I would have rather just had a promotion but at least it’s something. I’m happy about it.
Avril Lavigne has a new album out. I wonder if it’s any good? I used to be a huge fan when I was younger, thinking she was really hot and all. But of course I always thought she could sing well too. I’ll have to check it out.
I realized that I let the winter slip away without wearing my black leather boots that I got for Christmas. I guess they’ll be nice and new looking for next winter. It’s way too warm here mid March through mid November to even consider wearing them. I’ll need a new pair of sandals/flip flops soon, and except for working or running that’s all I’ll wear, shoe wise.
Daylight savings time starts this weekend. I can’t wait.
Finally got my South Carolina tax refund back. I’m looking at about $2,000 in the bank right now. Enough for two crowns on my teeth, LOL.

PS: Been bad about running and working out lately. It hasn’t left my mind. It’s not something I want to quit. I intend to get back to it, especially with the warmer weather coming. But I’m going to need to establish a more regular sleep schedule, and I rarely work between 11PM and 7AM no matter how variable my schedule, so one would assume I could reserve those 8 hours for sleeping every night, perhaps delaying by an hour or two on nights I work late.
Congratulations on going full-time! You are blessed to have a job. Daylight savings time already? Well, I do welcome the longer days.
