that’s over

Lexie and Dan are getting divorced. Some of you may not remember or know who they are but Lexie has been one of my best friends since high school. She met and married Dan in ’05, he joined the Army, there was a lot of drama, now they are getting divorced. To be honest, I always knew that they would. They met and got married within 5 months. There were issues from the beginning; they were always fighting. A day when they didn’t fight was a miracle. Now she’s moving back home to live with her recently widowed father (she lost her mother a few months ago, I don’t remember if I mentioned that) and is bringing her sons with her. It’ll be nice to have her home again because I missed her when she was stationed all the way on the other side of the state.

In a way I’ll miss Dan. He was actually kind of good for her. Yeah they fought a lot but she could never have been with a guy that just sat there and took it anyway. He just did a lot of jack-ass stupid things. He provided for their family; he joined the Army for that reason. He had a good sense of humor and he actually did some very sweet things now and then.

I don’t know why they are getting a divorce. I missed all of the initial drama and just got the news. Oh well.

I guess I’ll go and finish getting ready for work. Yay work! *sarcasm*
