sessions

So I promised a ‘happy’ update so here it is.

So I’ve mentioned my friend Kelsy before in an entry or 2.  She plays harp and fiddle/violin and sings and sings/speaks Gaelic (spoken not as much because she’s way out of practice).  Well she invited me out Friday night to see her play.  I thought she meant with her band (a local Irish band) but apparently not.  So the local brewery has a pub/restaurant attached to the brewery (news to me) and the first Friday of the month apparently they have a tradition called "Celtic Sessions".  A bunch of local musicians who play (mostly) Celtic and folk music sort of ‘hangs out’ and has a big jam session in the bar.

It was fun.  I met some new people, I sang along a bit, Kelsy and I harmonized "Silent Night", harmonized because it was in Gaelic and I don’t know Gaelic so I just harmonized.  I was asked to come back next month so I guess they liked me. ^_^  There was a guy there flirting with me but I paid him no mind.  I wasn’t rude I just wasn’t overly-friendly either.  I’m kind of excited about next month.  Hopefully between then and now Kelsy can work with me on some of the Gaelic songs so I can chime in.  I’m looking at getting back into my lap-harp, guitar and keyboard, got them all out and everything, problem, they are out of tune (Kelsy can fix that for me on the lap-harp and I can fix the guitar when I have time) and the keyboard power cord is missing.  >_<  So yeah.  Maybe eventually.  I found my floor and my bed yesterday so that’s good.  I have laundry almost done, hopefully I might be able to get that done tomorrow before work (I have to since all my work pants are in there).

I’m off Wednesday so hopefully I can get some of my group for calc together right after class to work on the test and/or I can work on my stats tests.

I also had more drama/money issues today but I did what I could to fix those.  More to tackle in the morning and won’t that be fun? *sarcasm*

Okay, bedtime for this girl since I only got about 5 hours last night after all.
