"Why, why, why do you wanna change me now?  Ain’t I the one you love everything about?  You might start missing the old me around so why, why, why do you wanna change me now?"  –Billy Currington "Why, Why, Why"

So I made it home in one piece with almost zero of the Nor’easter that was predicted, btw.  It started sprinkling, BARELY on the last 30-minute stretch.  But then it started really bad winds plus that drizzle got harder so it’s cold and wet…two of my favorite things separately, combined I loathe them.  I hate being cold AND wet.  It’s just uncomfortable.  So I ran by the store and got my schedule and said Hi to some people, went home and ate my only meal all day (by this point it was about 6pm and I’d been up since around 9:30am).  I didn’t mean to not feed myself.  I got wrapped up in the check-out because there’s a huge long list of things that had to be done before I left (Unplug everything, take out trash, do dishes, throw out perishables, etc), plus I had to pack all those last minute little things that you know you’re going to use one more time before you actually leave (hairbrush, toothbrush/toothpaste, etc).  It was an ordeal, plus getting dressed and having to drag my ‘body bag’ (my giant wheeled duffle bag that when packed full as I did this trip weighs more than me I think : ) down 3 flights of stairs to my car, plus my backpack and laptop bag, and the two little bags of food I brought with me to guarantee myself at least a few meals since I know my family won’t really feed me and I’m too broke to be going out and buying a bunch of food that I won’t get to eat.  My family has such personal property issues.  It’s kind of a ‘what’s yours is mine’ household which drives me nuts!!  No, what’s mine is mine, back away from my food you leeches!!! *brandishes a torch and pitchfork to defend her cereal*

So anyway!  I ate my little dinner then went out.  Had to run to Walmart for some Xmas gifts on my mum’s behalf.  Since my brother is obviously not getting a Wii for Xmas (little monster doesn’t need another video game system anyway.  If he gets a Wii I’d insist on getting the PS2…it’s only fair!  The PS2 was bought for both of us anyway, besides he doesn’t need 2 systems!!!!  And technically he’d have 4 then, since he also has a DS and a N64)  I had to go out and get him these little Yu-gi-oh collectible card tins and get 2 CDs for my aunt.  After that I went to Cat’s for the little Xmas get together she was having.

That was fun.  We played Atari and Nintendo and SuperNES, old school you bet!  LMAO.  I was the baby there.  Everyone I hang out with up here is around 26-28 so I’m always the youngster missing the jokes and such.  But we still had a lot of fun.  I braided Cat’s hair and then her husband Stefan wanted me to braid his hair lol.  Cat and I agreed, he looked good with it braided.  We also looked at pictures from her and Stefan’s wedding, which I didn’t get to go to and that I hadn’t seen the pictures from either.  Almost makes me want to go out and get married…but not really, haha.  I need to find a guy that I can stand for more than a few days first I suppose.  No use putting the cart before the horse after all.  I didn’t drink anything tonight though since the weather was promising to be nasty and I had to drive home.  But it was still a nice little diversion after finals.  I just wish grades would be posted…but at the same time I don’t want them posted because I’m not looking forward to seeing the big fat F in Ochem that I (along with more than 80% of the class) got.  *sigh*  Very depressing to think of it that way but I look at it this way.  If I prepare myself to see the worst and then maybe get lucky enough to get a D, then the D will look better!  : )  I know, I’m stretching it but it’s worth a try.

I am off tomorrow. : ( I didn’t want to be off, I wanted to earn money.  There’s always the great possibility they’ll call me in if they need another body since I’m one of the few employees that they can call 20 minutes before we open and I’ll be there with 5 minutes to spare.  I only live 5 minutes from the store, how convenient for all.  lol  So they like calling me at the last minute to cover call-outs and no-shows. Eh, it works for me, means I’m getting a bigger paycheck.  Plus I think I got a raise.  One of my co-workers who started only a week before me did so…who knows maybe.  It’s only $.50 but still, I’ll get to that extra dollar a heck of a lot fast at $.75 than I was at $.25, haha.  Ah well.

And my mind was left wandering at the party because I was the only single one there.  Everyone else is at the point in their life where either they are married or at least in a committed relationship…me, not so much.  It’s hard to have a relationship when you live 2 hours away from everyone at one point in time or another.  If I date a guy at home then when I’m at school we’re 2 hours apart.  If I date a guy at school we’ll be 2 hours apart when I’m at home for breaks.  So either way is lose-lose.  Kind of sucks…a lot.  Plus it seems like lately all the guys I’m interested in want to change me. >_>  Hrmph.  They either say I’m too nice (which I’m not, I’m polite there’s a difference), or I’m too mean (I have a sharp and biting wit, what can I say?) or I am too outgoing or not outgoing enough or I need to transfer to school closer to home so I can be closer to them….  Hm, how about no?  No works for me, does it work for you?  Too bad I don’t care.  : )  I’ll be who I am regardless of what you think you want me to be.  I’ll do what I want, when I want, how I want and I don’t really care if it doesn’t work for you.  It’s a two-way street guys, if you don’t want me changing you and how you live then don’t sit there and try to play it with me.  You’ll find out real fast I don’t roll over and play fetch for just anyone.
