nooki!
I am now the proud owner of a Nook. I have dubbed it Nooki. =) Yep. I’m excited. I’m going to return the shitty one that my step dad got me and just get the store credit for it. No point in keeping something I will never use. So far, I love my Nooki, it’s all shiny and new with a touch screen. I’m still working on figure it all out but what I’ve managed so far makes me quite happy!
I also bought a new corset on eBay. Yup, faire season is already prepping! How weird it is to think in a few short months the faires will be up and running again. I’m excited. This year I’m making plans in advance because I’d like Isaac to get to come with us and maybe Kay’s boyfriend Tom which means they’d both need to ask off from work and all that. So we’ll see. I have to finish making my new skirts. I told Kay she could have mine and an old corset of mine. I have the skirt mostly done. I just have to hem it and put in the ties at the waist. I was going to go with elastic but it’s kind of a pain because I put in a third panel and it’s made the skirt HUGE on me. So I may end up having to remove the third panel or at least part of it. We’ll see. Still have some time for all that. Details to be worked on.
I want to write more but not really sure what there is to write about at the moment. Not much going on now that the holidays are over.
Isaac’s divorce from wife #2 has been halted because wife #1 called him and told him she needed his tax return money or she was going to take him to court. That was the money he was going to use to hire an attorney and really get the divorce proceedings underway. He still plans on it he just isn’t sure how to afford it now. He’s also decided he needs to file the paperwork or whatever to change his child support amount since he was active military when they divorced his child support payment was pretty high and now that he’s not active and doesn’t have a good income anymore he really can’t afford to send her as much, especially with divorce from wife #2 looming in the near future. He’s trying to sort his whole life out, poor guy.
I have started making all the arrangements for doctors. I have a physical and gyno appointment on Feb 15 (ridiculous I know but it’s a doctor I’ve seen for FOREVER and I hate the idea of trying to transfer all my medical information to a new office). I need to call still about my eye doctor and see if my old doc takes my new insurance. I also have to see about going to a dentist but I have to make sure it’s a provider who is authorized under my dental coverage. There’s a few in town I just want to do more research before I pick one because that will have to be my primary dentist for a while. I’d like to know that I will like the guy who’s got his fingers in my mouth, just saying. lol Somewhere in there is also the ENT to do something about these allergies and the tonsil issues that crop up every year for the last 4 years. The same problems that are already starting to crop up this year. I also need to find out where my chiropractor is practicing now and if he takes my insurance. Which means I will probably need to get updated MRIs and x-rays of my back and maybe even a nerve functionality test to see how bad my sciatica really is. Ugh. All these health issues, I swear!
