NoJoMo Day 10: to the corps

It’s the Marine Corps’ birthday today for those who don’t know. As a daughter and granddaughter of the Corps, I know. Every year we wish my grandfather two birthdays, his birthday and the Corps’. So happy birthday to all the Marines out there. =)

In other news…well there really isn’t any other news. lol

As usual I didn’t see Isaac last night. But he’s supposed to have some mornings off maybe in the coming weeks which means he might start staying over again. We’ll see. I’m not that worried about not seeing him because he continues to text and be sweet so I’m kept content with things at the moment. The man is just…I don’t know. I feel like I call him amazing way too often but that’s really how I feel about him most of the time. He is incredibly sweet and smart and kind and he’s great in bed and he’s forever doing or saying something that just makes me go ‘awwww’. He’s not perfect. He’s a workaholic and he’s kind of spacey sometimes. He’s also got two ex-wives and two sons. He doesn’t always pay me a lot of attention but when he does give me his attention, I have all of it.

I had a skype date with Little and we talked about the chapter’s elections which are coming up and apparently it’s going to be kind of a hot mess this year. We are not your typical sorority. Most of us don’t really wear a lot of make-up or walk around in heels. But there are some members who think we should. They basically want to turn us into Malibu Barbie and there is a bit of grumbling in the underbelly of the sorority. Another girl has flat out said that she thinks we should bring hazing back. It’s ridiculous how far the chapter has fallen since I graduated. It really makes me almost sad. But they will learn their lessons the hard way if they have to learn them. Oh well.

I have to work today and I really don’t want to work. It’s only annoying because I work nothing but long shifts. 9 hours monday, 6 hours last night, 9 hours again today, 7 hours tomorrow, and 7 hours on Friday, next week it’s a bunch of 10 hour shifts again. *dies* Really? 10 hours!?! Why is that necessary?? *grumps*

Oh well. I guess it’s time to roll out of bed and get dressed. Under protest!!! Harumph!

On a brighter note. I get my puppy in 2 weeks!!!! OMGOMGOMGOMG!!!! I still have so much to do to get ready for her though! I can’t wait to get her because she’s already stolen my heart just by looking at her pictures!!!

Ok, that’s it, I have to go get dressed. lol
