backache

So my longtime readers know of my back injury a few years ago and how the chiropractor saved me from a spinal fusion.  For those who are new, here’s the rundown:  In ’03 I was in a car accident, doctors think this is when the problem started but went undiagnosed.  In ’05-’06 I took up yoga and the problem started.  Pain!  Lots of pain in my lower back and right leg which escalated to the point of being unable to bend at the waist without crying from the pain.  Finally my doctors stopped trying to tell me it was a pulled muscle and sent me for MRI and x-ray and found out ‘oh look her tailbone moves’.  Yeah, my tailbone was actually crunching up against my lowest lumber vertebrae because I’d ruptured the disc between them.  I started seeing a chiropractor and thankfully he was a miracle.  I have been pain-free for about 3 years.

Last night I did something to my back.  I don’t know if I re-injured it or if I just tweaked the already very sensitive nerves.  If there was ever a desire to see my chiropractor it is back 10-fold now.  I hurt almost as much as I did before.  It’s not as bad yet but the fact that it only took a few hours for it to get this bad is probably not a good sign.  *sigh*  Just want I want to deal with.

Time to go track down my doctor.
