awareness
It’s Autism Awareness month for those who don’t know.
My brother is autistic so it does mean something to me. I realized today that I don’t have a lapel pin that I can wear at work. We are allowed to have things like that on our lab coats and I want one. The only place I can find to purchase one is online and most of them are pretty…well, you know. Most of the good ones are in bulk suppliers and the other ones I worry are cheaply made. So I’m browsing around to see if I can find an awareness pin.
Right now I’m waiting to see if Isaac will spend the night tonight. It was a rough day in the pharmacy even for only working 6 hours. To start off, I walked in to a huge fight going on between the pharmacist on duty and the technicians. It was great! *sarcasm* Everyone was cranky and talking loudly and criticizing. I just clocked on and started doing what needed doing. They ended up going back into the stock room to have a discussion for a while and I was in the pharmacy by myself for a good 10-15 minutes but it wasn’t too bad. After that we just couldn’t seem to catch up on the work until about 8pm when I was scheduled to leave. It was super crazy busy. We had to have done over 150 scripts just in the 6 hours I was in today and for us that’s a lot. We normally do around 2-300 in an entire day! So everyone was cranky and everything was hectic and I’m sure this will be discussed over the next few days as staff comes in and out on our normal rotation. *sigh*
I’d be surprised if Isaac spent the night tonight; he’s got so much going on right now with trying to get ready for the deployment. But I told him he could do it here if he wanted. I just want to be able to cuddle up to him right now.
My car is in the shop getting a gear pin replaced. It started popping out of first gear and then 3rd and 5th started acting up. Thankfully it’s under warranty so they’ll fix it but in the meanwhile it’s sitting in the shop because really, truthishly, a car that can’t stay in gear is kind of really dangerous to drive and driving it could cause more damage to the gears and the engine over all I think so for now I’m getting around with Mom’s car and it sucks. *grumpy* I miss my car. And it’s actually kind of weird to be driving an automatic again after driving a manual for the last 2 months.
Also my Xbox is acting up so I need to take it back over to the store. I got a 1 year replacement plan on it and it’s been maybe 6 months. Now it’s not reading discs. I went to play a movie and it wouldn’t read it. I tried a game in there too and still nothing. Poooooooh. So I’ll have to take it back and see about replacing it. Problem is I have to do it all before noon when I go to work and chances are I won’t have my car back by then. Blah. I also have to run clothes over to Goodwill for mom and I didn’t do it today because I thought Isaac might want to go through some of my brother’s old jeans and pull out a few pairs to work in. Line-X is a messy messy job but having a pair of work-jeans or two would be a good idea. And if he gets them free even better, then he doesn’t have to worry about wasting money on pants that will get ruined in a day. We’ll see.
I still have to go to the store and get deodorant but I was trying to wait and do it in one trip and just go to the store by his house then swing by and pick him up or something like that. Ugh.
Oh well.
