and this is why i’m so confused

OK, so the conversation below started last night as a normal conversation and at some point it turned to the fact that I’ve re-enacted the celibacy rule.  B proceeded to ask what that included because up until recently we’ve done everything but sex and considered ourself celibate (lol) but I’ve decided that even that much is dangerous at this point so….

Me: hey i could just say we can’t see each other at all lol
B: thats not nice
Me: yea but it’d be safer
B: so what not see each other unless were in a relationship
B: or just end things completely
Me: i was only jokiing 🙁
B: oh
B: it made me sad
Me: lol=joking
B: still was saddenung
Me: why?
B: cuz i didnt like the idea of not seeing you
Me: uh huh
B: meow?
Me: what?
B: what do u mean uh huh
Me: nothing, just uh huh
B: mm ok
Me: lol
Me: would you really be sad if you couldn’t see me?
B: YES!@!!!
B: 🙁
Me: why?
B: cuz i like you al ot
Me: ok
B: i have feelings for you
B: and i love being around you
B: like it just feels so good when we’re together
Me: ok
B: do you feel the same
Me: you know where i stand

And he wonders why I’m so confused sometimes.  He says things that contradict each other and he has the nerve to wonder why I’m confused and/or suspicious.  Gah!  And yes when I was saying ‘Uh huh’ I sitting there contemplating telling him he’s a confusing a-hole and that if he likes being with me so damned much why the he# is he so scared of making us exclusive!?
