The wedding

So we got home from the honeymoon late last night.  It’s cold here.  Not cold, really, just normal Boston weather for this time of year, but it was the first thing I noticed when I got off the plane.  I shivered.

I’m slowly trying to get back to real life.  Not too excited about going to school and work tomorrow.  This morning I got up and went for a run.  I haven’t run in ten days and so I took it really slow and easy, but it was satisfying just to be out on the city streets.  Now I’m sitting in my favorite coffee shop with my laptop going through the wedding photos.

We had a professional photographer and he took great photos, but as I’m sorting through the almost 800 of them right now, there aren’t too many worth sharing in my diary.  He took several of the same photos from different angles, and then he took LOTS of photos of random people.  That’s what’s different about me and him. When I take photos, I usually like to photograph things, not people.  I’m not going to share a lot of photos of random wedding guests, but I’ll pick out a few of my favorites…

Getting ready.  Hair and make-up done, but the lips need constant touching-up.  In many ways, I really am a girlie girl and I like getting dressed up and making myself pretty, but the amount of effort that went into it for the wedding was exhausting.

All done, ready for my photo shoot.  He took about 15 photos of me like this, just standing there.  The expression on my face says: are we done yet?

This facial expression is much more sincere, staring at the man I love.

Kissing for the camera.  We did a lot of that.  I love kissing him, but there were very few kisses on our wedding day that weren’t just because someone was telling us to kiss.

Again!

What was originally going to be a small wedding turned into a big one with all the traditions.  I guess I have no complaints, but I do wonder if it would have been more fun to just do something small.

The photographer did manageto capture some good candid moments of happiness.

Toast, smile, kiss, repeat.

Not-posing on the dance floor.  Neither of us are crazy about dancing.

I’m pretty sure my head would have exploded if it hadn’t been for Megan’s planning and support.  I’m happy to rent her out to other people for weddings and event.
