Fun and exciting

I haven’t had much to write about lately.  That shouldn’t be true considering I am planning a wedding and I have a new niece in my life. But I’ve sat down in front of the computer a few times to write an entry and just couldn’t think of anything to say.  I guess there are a few new things worth mentioning.

We booked a location for the wedding.  We had originally talked about a nice beach location, maybe on the Cape, but we ended up settling for an outdoor spot in western MA.  I shouldn’t say that we "settled" because it’s actually a really amazing place and as long as it doesn’t rain it will be a lovely place for a wedding.  There was just a part of me that wanted the ocean to be a part of it.  The wedding is just over three months away, so it’s good to finally have a location picked out and confirmed.

We also have our honeymoon planned, which I left totally up to Guy.  He picked Cozumel.  That surprised me a little bit.  Wasn’t expecting Mexico.  It’s going to be amazing though, and I can’t wait to share it with him.

Lauren is here now too.  It’s a good thing because now Megan has someone to spend time with other than just following me around everywhere.  They will be here until next weekend and then both return to Miami where they belong.  As I predicted before she got here, it didn’t take long for me to get tired of having her around.  It’s great for the first week.  And then I just staring thinking about how much I’d like some time to myself, but I can’t get any because every time I turn around Megan is standing there asking what fun and exciting thing we are going to do together.

She has been a great help with wedding planning, as I knew she would be.  If you want a maid of honor who can really take control of planning everything, my sister is who you want.  

Lauren, Megan, and I went to the beach this morning, even though it wasn’t quite hot enough to be beach weather.  I laid out in a bikini top and shorts for a while and worked on my tan.  It is interesting to spend time with Megan and her wife.  She’s a different person when they are together, in a good way.  I see the way they look at each other, the way they touch each other, and I hope that people see that same kind of love when they see me with Guy.
