Baby and dress

First of all, thanks for all the great comments about my photos in my last entry.  Every day I get a little more comfortable in my body and having such a nice response definitely helped.  I like posting photos here and I’ve missed it over these last few years when I just didn’t want anyone looking at me.

Now on to the real news, Cindy had her baby last night.  I felt a little bad because I wasn’t there with her.  Guy, Megan, and I all went to see a movie and about ten minutes after it started I got a text saying they were headed to the hospital.    We figured nothing was going to happen right away, so we watched the whole movie.  Of course, I was thinking about her the whole time, but I never imagined she’d actually have the baby before we could get there.  Fastest labor ever.  OK, probably not.  But pretty fast.

It was late when we got out of the movie, and after a phone call to my mother to find out that everyone was healthy, I didn’t even get to the hospital until this morning.  And then to make me feel like an even worse sister, it had to be a really quick visit because I had my second dress fitting this morning.  But the good news really is that both Cindy and the baby are doing well.  I’ll have plenty of time with both of them.

And less important news, I picked out my dress.  I liked this dress a lot that I was wearing this morning and I decided I didn’t want to drag out the process any longer.  Definitely a little fancier than I originally wanted, but I like the way I look in it a lot.  And as three sets of parents are getting more and more involved in the wedding planning, the whole thing is getting fancier than I wanted.  I’ve never worn a strapless dress before, but I like it.  Maybe I’ll started wearing then more now.  Here are photos from this morning:
