To The Touch A Poem By Me
Feelings came rushing back
Months ago
After a long awaited time
Of being numb
And enjoying it.
It hurts so much
For no reason at all
I miss the days when
Pain ment nothing at all
I miss the innocnence
In a forgetful laugh
A laugh that hid
All the numbness
That laid inside
Here I am curled up
In pain
For I am nothing
To no one
And this has no gain
It hurts so much
I hate feelings
To the touch
I’ll pray for numbness
In my sleep
In hopes that someday
In all my blindness
I’ll be able to see
The beauty in this
Uncertianty.
i love your poem! it’s practically a mirror image to how i feel now! you know, having a dad in the military and never knowing if he is going to be deployed or not…and living overseas away from everybody….it really drains you… hit me back sometime! em
