A Thought…

This is a thought for all you cool cats out there. You remember when the whole Sept. 11th thing happened, and how the whole country pulled together. And still in a way we are, but we’ve got back to our normal life. Okay I know everyone’s thinking Sonja where are you going with this.

What if we still had that feeling of brotherhood and sisterhood? You know, I mean no one shares that anymore. Everyone’s gone back to being grumpy and upset over nothing. When at this time when this happened we all came together put all the stuff aside that was upsetting us. And got along for a brief while. Why couldn’t we do that again? Why could we all be nice and appreciate everyone in our lives no matter who they are. Even if it just be the Wal-Mart employee who helped you out, or the grocery that checked you out. Just saying thanks and being happy for the fact that they helped you.

And your family and friends how much they do for you no matter what they do still appreciating them for just being there and being cool and everything. Well that was just my random tangent of the day. Have a good one!

You know everyone’s always wondering is the glass half-full or half-empty why not just at the middle?

uh oh, me again. I’m sorry, I really didn’t mean to attack you in note-form like that. It’s just that I’m really starting to question the entirety of my religion and that entry of yours sort of set me off at the wrong time. Anyhow, as for this one; I totally agree. it really frustrates that it sometimes takes a huge tragedy like Sept. 11th to wake people up. (another long one. . .)

. . . then again, sometimes I wonder if becoming so patriotic is really a good thing. My grandmother is like that, and it seems to cloud her thoughts at times. . . like anything bad that’s said about America is just plain wrong, no exceptions. People do need to be more friendly and kind I think, but patriotism might not be the best way to accomplish that. Just my thought. ~Harmony

aah! *big hug* thank you for the Moulin Rouge quote on your opening page! Finally, someone else who appreciates the movie. (Or maybe you just got it from the song and hate the movie…oh well.) Yeah I have that quote in a picture frame in my room…like you care to know. Anywho, later gator.

eh its so weird how all the people on od I like have the same background as me. Anywho, yeah dad just bought a dvd player on a whim. like 4 hours ago he just waltzed (well more like stumbled) through the door with it. moulin rouge is the first dvd im buying. dad hates it, but who cares. it is a beautiful piece of cinema and Ewan is a beautiful piece of man! Do you agree? 🙂

ok i actually just read your entry…and yes it would be nice if it could stay but i think it was just pathetic how it took something of that magnitude to awaken patriotism in us all. and why? lets face it, weve been beaten. and we deserved it. anywho im gonna stop there before someone reads this and leaves angry patriotic notes on my OD. later.
