mixed up …

omg. I messed up big time this morning.

I woke up pretty early and checked my watch. I remembered that I needed to make an adjustment this morning so I changed the time, rolled over and went back to sleep.

Once I got up, I stopped the pendulum on the chiming clock. It’s a bit of a pain to change so decided to deal with it later.

I tend to take my chiming clock for granted and don’t even notice how often I refer to it … until it is stopped. Since I’ve been sitting here (for an hour or so), I’ve glanced at that clock numerous times. It always takes a second for me to realize that it isn’t working … at which point, I’ll look at my watch. It’s still early, I think, so there is no need to shut down the computer yet.

The day is young!!

I just looked at the time on my computer screen and got very confused. It is reading 11:30. My watch is telling me it is 9:30.

“Stupid computer” I thought. “It adjusted the time in the wrong direction.”

I was actually to the point where I was going to manually change the time on the computer.

And then I realized … in my semi-sleep stated this morning, I decided to ‘fall back’ insteaad of ‘spring forward’.

I have now lost TWO hours instead of the ONE that was originally planned.

Duh.

* I WISH YOU WELL! *

uggghhh. I’m so sorry. I *hate* Daylight Savings Time. Almost enough to move to Arizona! I’m not too tired from it today because I woke up when I wanted to, but tomorrow I know I’ll be zapped.

This years time change was not bad for me due to my sleep pattern, but normally it would play havok with my life. Losing two hours would SUCK! On the bright side – at least you figured it out today instead of Monday morning.

I really don’t know if it’s better to be in Arizona. I still have to reset my atomic clocks that don’t have a setting for Arizona, I have to adjust my mental calculations for what time it is in other zones, my favorite TV shows via satellite are suddenly on at a different time… And, part of Arizona, the Navajo Nation, DOES follow mountain time, so it’s all very confusing.
