clouds

When I was driving home the other day, the clouds looked just like the opening scene of The Simpsons.

This prompted me to start paying more attention to the sky. Not that I haven’t always appreciated the beauty, but I don’t think I’ve been fully engaged while observing the fluffy things floating overhead.

Unfortunately, it’s during my drive home after work that I’ve been noticing the most impressive displays!

I wish I had a good camera. I’d become a cloud photographer!

I suppose anyone who has ever been in an airplane can honestly say “I’ve looked at clouds from both sides now …”

*disclaimer – I’m talking fluffy white clouds. I do NOT like impending storm clouds. They are just scary!

Moodie got a hair cut yesterday. She was a mess … Her legs were fairly badly matted. I know that dematting is pretty painful for the dog, so I told the groomer to do what she had to do with the least stress for Moodie.

I was worried how she’d look clipped short, but I think she is still pretty darn cute. I do like her better with her long hair so I’ll let it grow out and then make sure to keep her regular appointments.

Note that she seems to have opposable thumbs!

… another disclaimer … normally she wouldn’t have been this bad – the problem was due to her being at Erin’s where she was swimming in the pool. Then, when she got home and I tried to make an appointment, I found out our groomer was quitting and I had to find someone new … and then I had to wait a week for an appointment with the new groomer who was referred to me. Honestly, finding her a new groomer was more stressful than trying to find a new hair stylist for myself!

The Living Daylights is on the boob tube. It’s a James Bond movie. I like James Bond movies and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen them all. I had forgotten about this one.

Sean Connery was the best James Bond.

Lays chips have a contest where people developed new flavours. Right now, they’re down to 4:

* Perogy Platter

* Maple Moose

* Grilled Cheese and Ketchup

* Creamy Garlic Caesar

The person who suggested the winning flavour wins a % of the sales! Not bad!

The Perogy Platter ones are really good. Grilled Cheese and Ketchup is gross (I brought a bag to work and no one liked them!). I have the Creamy Garlic Caesar sitting here waiting for me to try them. The Maple Moose doesn’t tempt me at all. (Does that make me a bad Canadian?)

Tomorrow is a stat holiday here. It is referred to as ‘Civic Holiday’. Unimaginative name (if you ask me). I’m going to go to work because I have things to do (and don’t have a life outside of work).
